An udāharaṇa: the lead-in reads 'śuka-mukhā, yathā—', 'through a parrot's mouth, as follows.' The verse is spoken by Kṛṣṇa coaxing the sulking (māninī) Śyāmalā, and it turns on a wild parrot a rival friend has coached to speak — so Viśvanātha, who names the speaker and the one addressed.
