The first line of an udāharaṇa (illustrative verse), Vidagdha-mādhava 3.24, spoken by a girlfriend to the dark beloved about the heroine. Viśvanātha marks it (see c2 below) as displaying lālasā — longing — at its fully ripened pitch (pāka-avasthā). 'Your' is the dark-complexioned beloved, addressed throughout.

dṛṣṭe — once it is seen; utsuka-matiḥ — her mind wild with eagerness; taṁ parirabdhum — to embrace it; pakṣa-dvayīm icchati — she wishes for a pair of wings
the very instant she sees it, wild with longing to embrace it, she wishes for a pair of wings to fly to it. Here is the picture: the dark rain-cloud stands in for the dark beloved himself — mistaking the one for the other, she would take wing to hold it. That leap is how far her longing has now ripened.
A dṛṣṭānta folded into the verse: the dark cloud is the dark beloved; wanting wings to reach it is the measure of her ripened longing. The analogy is not argued, only shown — the point is the pitch of the lālasā, not any doctrine about clouds.

saṁrambha: a surge of impassioned agitation — the flare of feeling behind the cry, here the pang of her longing breaking out.

pāka-avasthā, 'the ripened state': a fruit-ripening metaphor — the longing carried all the way to its peak, as against a merely sprouting (aṅkura) stage.
