kṛṣṇe tubut in Kṛṣṇa's case tu turns the definition against himकिन्तु कृष्ण में
tal-lakṣaṇa-abhāvātsince that defining mark [of mercy] is missing ablative of reason — no mercy shown to us, so no ground for the titleउस लक्षण के अभाव के कारण
mithyā eva uttamaḥślokatāhis being 'Uttama-śloka' is simply false'उत्तमःश्लोकता' झूठी ही (है)
iti arthaḥthat is the meaningयह अर्थ
kṛṣṇe tu — but in Kṛṣṇa's case; tal-lakṣaṇa-abhāvāt — that mark being absent; mithyā eva uttamaḥślokatā — his 'Uttama-śloka' status is a sham; iti arthaḥ — so the meaning
But Kṛṣṇa shows us no such mercy — so the mark is missing, and his title 'Uttama-śloka' is simply a sham. That is the reproach.

Or take it the other way, a second reading he leaves standing: had he not made wretches like us suffer, how could he ever have claimed the title 'Uttama-śloka' at all? He needs our misery to be famous as the merciful one. That is the reproach the verse hints at.

atra pūrvārdhaṁ divi bhuvi iti ādinā kuhakatā-ākhyānaṁ — here the first half, by 'divi bhuvi...', is the telling of trickery; caraṇa-rajaḥ iti tṛtīya-caraṇe garva-garbhitā īrṣyā — in the third foot 'caraṇa-raja...' is the pride-swollen jealousy
He now maps the definition onto the verse: the first half, 'divi bhuvi...', is the telling of Hari's trickery; the third line, 'caraṇa-raja...', is the pride-swollen jealousy.

api ca iti caturtha-pāde — in the fourth foot 'api ca...'; sāsūyaḥ ākṣepaḥ — is the envy-charged reproach
And the fourth line, 'api ca...', is the envy-charged reproach. So all three ingredients of the definition are found in the verse.
