Yes — granted, we would have intense happiness if Mukunda came back to the cowherd village.
An udāharaṇa of the section-topic asahya-duḥkha-svīkārāt tat-sukha-kāmatā — 'the desire for his happiness born of accepting unbearable suffering' (the lead-in) — spoken in Śrī Rādhā's own voice as the message she sends Kṛṣṇa through Uddhava.

That fierce anguish leads her into moha — the swoon of bewilderment.
moha here is the fainting daze of viraha (separation), not moral delusion — the anguish is so severe it blots out consciousness.

Here, from both sides together — the positive ('we would be happy if he came') and the negative ('we would suffer if he stays') — one thing alone stands out clearly: she wants only his happiness.
anvaya-vyatireka is the logician's presence-and-absence test: whether he comes or he stays, in both cases her one constant is his joy — so that alone is her motive.

In the ordinary world, even a common woman sends word only to her own husband far away — faithful enough. But even that does not come close to touching this prema; how much less the mohana, which is a division of mahā-bhāva. Do not measure Rādhā's message by an ordinary wife's.
mohana is one variety (bheda) of mahā-bhāva, the topmost pitch of love; the point is that Rādhā's message issues from that height, incomparably above ordinary conjugal faithfulness.

For here is the test: if a woman's message is ever seen to say exactly what is in her heart, then you must conclude the flame is absent. The flame shows only where the outward words go against the inward longing — as Rādhā's do.

Here is when the flame of prema truly arises: when a person has lost every trace of 'mine' toward her own body, home, wealth, children — and lost it for one reason only, that her love for her beloved has overflowed everything else. Not because she studied truth and grew detached. Only then does the flame catch.
A technical distinction of two detachments that look alike. Losing mine-ness because love has swallowed all else (the gopī's) yields the prema-flame — like a house catching fire from within. Losing it through tattva-jñāna and vairāgya (the renunciant's) is the cold detachment of the jñānī — like a house emptied and locked up; it never burns. Only the first is the flame.

This flame is here, in Rādhā. Someone may point to Rantideva and others who also took on unbearable suffering for others' sake — but even there you do not find the accepting of a suffering equal to hers.
Rantideva (Bhāgavata 9.21) is the stock exemplar of svīkāra of suffering: the king who gave away his food and water to guests while himself starving. Viśvanātha grants the likeness only to deny the equivalence.

prākṛtatvāt — because Rantideva's is mundane; śiva-uktasya duḥkhasya iva — whereas Rādhā's, like the suffering Śiva spoke of at 14.171 ('lokātīta, ajāṇḍa'); uparamita-tva-abhāvāt — can never be made to cease.
The reason: Rantideva's suffering is a worldly one, and a worldly suffering can be relieved. Hers is world-surpassing — like the suffering Śiva described in the 'lokātīta, ajāṇḍa' verse [14.171], reaching past the very shell of the universe — and it can never be made to stop.
Why cited: The 'lokātīta / ajāṇḍa' verse spoken by Śiva at UN 14.171 is adduced to show that Rādhā's suffering is transcendent (beyond the cosmic egg) and, unlike Rantideva's mundane suffering, admits of no cessation.

And further: the flame belonging to this mohana — the seventh stage even of prema, itself a division of mahā-bhāva — will be spelled out word by word further on, in the verse that calls it hotter even than the Aurva submarine fire [14.187].
Why cited: Points ahead to UN 14.187 ('hotter even than the mass of the Aurva fire'), which analyzes the mohana's flame word-by-word; adduced here to mark where this flame is fully unfolded.
mohana is counted the seventh rung of prema's intensification and a division of mahā-bhāva; the aurva (vaḍavānala) is the submarine fire of dissolution — the coming verse says this flame outburns even it.

That very flame is the unbearable suffering burning inside Śrī Rādhā. And even while she is feeling it herself, she still sends her lover the message, 'Even though we would have intense happiness if you came... let him stay if his heart is happy there.' Know this to be utterly without parallel anywhere — among worldly and transcendent beings alike.
