L1definition
nimeṣāsahatāsanna-janatā-hṛd-viloḍanam |
nimeṣa-asahatānot being able to bear even a blink's separation the abstract -tā names the first anubhāva: her inability to endure a single moment apartएक निमेष (पलभर) का भी वियोग सह न पाना — यह पहला अनुभाव
āsanna-janatā-hṛd-viloḍanamand the churning-up of the hearts of the people standing near her genitive stack: viloḍana (agitation) of the hṛd (heart) of the āsanna-janatā (nearby folk)पास रहनेवाले जनों के हृदय का मथ जाना
nimeṣa-asahatā — she cannot bear even a blink's parting; āsanna-janatā-hṛd-viloḍanam — and the hearts of those nearby are churned up.
She cannot bear even a blink's separation. And the very sight of her state churns up the hearts of the people standing near her. These are the first two outward signs (anubhāvas).
L1-L4 give the lakṣaṇa of rūḍha-bhāva by listing its anubhāvas — the outward signs. Both Jīva and Viśvanātha read the verse this way.

kalpa-kṣaṇatvaṁ khinnatvaṁ tat-saukhye’py ārti-śaṅkayā ||
kalpa-kṣaṇatvaṁa whole aeon slipping by as if it were one moment kṣaṇatva of a kalpa = an aeon feels momentary — the time-distortion of unionकल्प (युग) भर का समय भी क्षण-सा बीत जाना — मिलन में समय का सिकुड़ना
khinnatvaṁand yet growing dejected the second item, set against the joy just namedखिन्न हो जाना — अभी कहे सुख के विरुद्ध दूसरा चिह्न
tat-saukhye’pyeven in the midst of that happiness of union api — 'even'; locative of the very joy in which the dejection nonetheless arisesउसी सुख में भी (यद्यपि सुख है, फिर भी)
ārti-śaṅkayābecause she fears some harm may come to him instrumental of cause: the śaṅkā (dread) of ārti (harm/pain) is what triggers the dejectionक्योंकि किसी अनिष्ट (पीड़ा) की आशंका बनी रहती है
kalpa-kṣaṇatvaṁ — an aeon passes like a moment; tat-saukhye api — even in that joy; ārti-śaṅkayā — from fear of harm to him; khinnatvaṁ — dejection.
In union a whole aeon slips past like a single moment. Yet even inside that happiness she grows dejected — because she is afraid some harm may befall him.
kalpa-kṣaṇatva (aeon → moment) is the union side of a paired contrast; its opposite, kṣaṇasya kalpatā (moment → aeon), comes in L4 for separation. Jīva and Viśvanātha both say which signs go with union and which with separation is to be sorted from the illustrative verses.
L3definition
mohādy-abhāve’py ātmādi-sarva-vismaraṇaṁ sadā |
mohādy-abhāve’pyeven when there is no fainting-fit or the like api — 'even'; locative of absence (abhāva) of moha (swoon) etc., i.e. without that usual causeमोह (मूर्च्छा) आदि किसी कारण के न होने पर भी
ātmādi-sarva-vismaraṇaṁa forgetting of herself and of everything else ātma-ādi (self and the rest), sarva (all) — object of the forgettingअपने-आपसे लेकर सबका विस्मरण (भूल जाना)
sadāand this constantly, all the time adverb: the forgetting is not a passing lapse but continuousसदा — यह भूलना क्षणिक नहीं, निरन्तर
moha-ādi-abhāve api — even with no swoon or the like; sadā — constantly; ātma-ādi-sarva-vismaraṇaṁ — forgetting herself and everything.
Even when she has not fainted or lost consciousness — with no such cause at work — she still, all the time, forgets herself and everything around her.

kṣaṇasya kalpatetyādyā yatra yoga-viyogayoḥ ||
kṣaṇasya kalpatāa single moment stretching out into an aeon kalpatā of a kṣaṇa = a moment feels endless — the time-distortion of separation, the mirror of L2एक क्षण का भी कल्प-सा हो जाना — वियोग में समय का लम्बा खिंचना, पंक्ति 2 का प्रतिबिम्ब
ityādyāsuch signs, beginning with these iti-ādyāḥ, nom. pl. agreeing with the implied anubhāvāḥ — the list is open, not closedइत्यादि (अनुभाव) — यह सूची खुली है, बन्द नहीं
yatrathe state wherein these occur — that is what is being defined (rūḍha-bhāva) relative pronoun standing in for the definiendum, rūḍha-bhāvaजिस (भाव) में — यह सर्वनाम लक्ष्य रूढ-भाव के स्थान पर है
yoga-viyogayoḥin both union and separation alike locative dual: the two settings across which these signs appearमिलन और वियोग — इन दोनों अवस्थाओं में
yatra — the state wherein; yoga-viyogayoḥ — in union and in separation; kṣaṇasya kalpatā ityādyāḥ — such signs, beginning with 'a moment becoming an aeon,' occur.
In separation, by contrast, a single moment stretches out like an aeon. These and signs of this kind — appearing in both union and separation — mark the state (rūḍha-bhāva) that is being defined here.
L4's kṣaṇasya kalpatā (moment → aeon, in separation) is the deliberate mirror of L2's kalpa-kṣaṇatva (aeon → moment, in union): love bends time in opposite directions depending on whether she is with him or apart.

nimeṣāsahatetiin the words beginning 'nimeṣāsahatā...' the pratīka (catch-phrase) naming the verse being introduced'निमेषासहता' इति — जिस श्लोक का अवतरण हो रहा है उसका प्रतीक (आरम्भिक पद)
tad evaṁ — thus; sāttvika-dvārā rūḍha-bhāvaṁ pradarśya — having displayed rūḍha-bhāva through the sāttvika signs; anubhāva-dvārā āha — he now sets it out through the anubhāvas; nimeṣāsahatā iti — beginning 'nimeṣāsahatā.'
So far Rūpa has displayed rūḍha-bhāva through its sāttvika signs — the bodily transformations. Now he presents the same state through its anubhāvas, its outward acts, beginning with the words 'nimeṣāsahatā.' So Jīva reads the verse as a shift from one instrument to another.

rūḍha-bhāvasyādhirūpa-bhāvasyānubhāvānthe anubhāvas of rūḍha-bhāva — the ādhirūpa-bhāva, the state raised to its full form two genitives in apposition (rūḍha = ādhirūpa) governing anubhāvān, the accusative objectआधिरूप-भाव रूप रूढ-भाव के अनुभावों को (दोनों समानाधिकरण, कर्म कारक)
evaonly these, nothing more restrictive eva doing the rhetorical work: he states only the signs, yet the definition still comes throughकेवल (ही) — मात्र चिह्न कहते हुए भी लक्षण उभर आता है
vadaṁsin the very act of stating present participle: the making-known happens simultaneously with the stating, not after itकहते हुए — कहना और जनाना साथ-साथ, बाद में नहीं
tal-lakṣaṇaṁthe defining mark of that very state accusative object of jñāpayatiउसके लक्षण को
jñāpayatihe lets be known, makes it inferable causative of jñā: indicates indirectly, does not spell out — the load-bearing verbपरोक्ष रूप से जना देते हैं — खोलकर नहीं कहते
nimeṣetyādiin the passage beginning 'nimeṣa...' the pratīka of the verse'निमेष' इत्यादि — श्लोक का प्रतीक
rūḍha-bhāvasya ādhirūpa-bhāvasya anubhāvān eva vadan — in the very act of stating only the anubhāvas of rūḍha-bhāva, the ādhirūpa-bhāva; tal-lakṣaṇaṁ jñāpayati — he makes its definition known; nimeṣa ityādi — beginning 'nimeṣa.'
By stating only the anubhāvas of rūḍha-bhāva — which he calls the ādhirūpa-bhāva, the state grown to full form — Rūpa lets its very definition become known, without stating it outright. The passage begins 'nimeṣa...'.
Note the two verbs: he vadan (states) the signs and thereby jñāpayati (makes-known, i.e. indicates indirectly) the definition. Viśvanātha's framing — signs that yield the lakṣaṇa — differs from Jīva's framing of a shift from sāttvika to anubhāva; the two are not to be merged.
