The beloved is experienced constantly, with nothing left unknown. And yet a certain love keeps making that same beloved feel brand-new, moment after moment.
L2definition

iti īryateis what it is called, in these words iti closes the definition and names the termइस नाम से कहा जाता है
rāgaḥ — that love; nava-navaḥ bhavan — itself becoming ever-new; saḥ — that; anurāgaḥ iti — as 'anurāga'; īryate — is called.
And the love itself keeps turning new as well. That love is what is called anurāga.
The lakṣaṇa (definition) verse for anurāga, the fourth of the deepening degrees of prema; lead-in 'atha anurāgaḥ—'. Note the double newness the verse builds in: the beloved is made ever-new, and the love is ever-new in itself.

nava-navatvaṁ muhur-ananubhūta-pūrvatvam ||
nava-navatvamthe 'ever-newness' of the verse — the word Jīva picks up to pin downनित नवीनता का तात्पर्य है
muhuḥat every moment, again and againबार-बार, प्रतिक्षण
ananubhūta-pūrvatvammeans being such as was never experienced beforeपहले कभी अनुभव न किए जाने जैसा होना
nava-navatvam — the 'ever-newness'; muhuḥ — at every moment; ananubhūta-pūrvatvam — is the state of never-having-been-experienced-before.
Jīva pins down the key word. 'Ever-new' means this: at each moment it stands as though never experienced before.

Viśvanātha unpacks it. 'Beloved' means the person you love — or the hero. His form and qualities have been tasted over and over, so nothing is unknown. Yet the earlier-defined rāga, once it ripens into a special kind of thirst, makes that same beloved feel ever-new, as if never met, savored fresh at every instant. And the rāga does not stay put either: it too keeps turning new. That very rāga, now ever-new in both directions, is anurāga.

atra — here; anubhūtasya api priyasya — of the beloved, though already experienced; yat ananubhūtatvam — the newness spoken of; tat — that; kvacid ekāṁśena — in one case by one aspect; kvacid sarvāṁśena api — in another by all aspects; udāharaṇa-dvayāt — from the two illustrations; jñeyam — is to be understood.
One caution on how far the newness goes. The beloved is fully known, yet felt as new — but sometimes only one facet of the beloved feels new, and sometimes the whole of the beloved does. The two illustrations that follow are there to show each case.
Viśvanātha reads the coming pair of udāharaṇa verses as a matched set: one shows the beloved renewed in a single aspect (ekāṁśena), the other renewed in every aspect (sarvāṁśena). He does not resolve which verse is which here — he only tells you to read the pair with that distinction in hand.
