prasanna-viśadāśayā vividha-mudrayā nirmitaṁ
prasanna-viśadāśayāshe whose heart is gracious and utterly clear bahuvrīhi describing Candrāvalī (nom. fem.): prasanna 'gracious' + viśada 'spotless' + āśaya 'inner heart'जिसका अन्तःकरण प्रसन्न (कृपालु) और निर्मल है — ऐसी (चन्द्रावली)
vividha-mudrayāby your manifold ploys instrumental of meansनाना प्रकार की मुद्राओं (चेष्टाओं, संकेतों) के द्वारा
nirmitaṁfashioned, manufactured (the deception) neuter, agreeing with pratāraṇam in L2रचा गया (जो छल तुमने बनाया)
prasanna-viśadāśayā [candrāvalī] — she of gracious, spotless heart; vividha-mudrayā — by your manifold ploys; nirmitaṁ [pratāraṇam] — the deception you fashioned
She whose heart is gracious and utterly clear — that is Candrāvalī. The deception you fashioned by all your manifold ploys...
An udāharaṇa (illustrative verse) of rāga, the abiding love treated in this prakaraṇa. Its general mark — as both Jīva and Viśvanātha state below — is that even a cause of grief is received as a cause of joy (duḥkham api sukhaṁ syāt). Spoken, per Viśvanātha, by Bhadrā to Kṛṣṇa about Candrāvalī.

tat tu kṛtrimatvāt bhāveṣu apraviśat api — but that, being feigned, never enters her real feelings; yat varṇitaṁ tat khalu — what is described is surely this; sakhī-vaśatayā api na anyathā manaḥ kṛtam — even out of deference to her friends her mind was not turned away; iti viṣāda-bhāva-āvaraṇasya eva ādhikyaṁ darśitam — so it shows the predominance precisely of the covering of her grief
But that indifference is feigned; it never enters her real feelings. What the verse describes is that even out of deference to her friends her mind was not actually turned away. So it shows, all the more strongly, precisely her covering-over of grief — not any real indifference.

This is Candrāvalī's own reflection, as Viśvanātha spells it out: 'Blessed are the women with whom he, the connoisseur of great virtues, sports and finds his joy — and by letting his own joy show, he makes me happy too! Oh, this is my beloved's sheer artistry, not deception at all.' Reflecting so in her heart. That is the sense.

By showing an outward indifference she gladdens her friends, and her own love, kept concealed, is safeguarded. So once again her excellence is displayed.

sañcāri-bhāva (also vyabhicāri-bhāva): a transient supporting emotion that rises and subsides within the main mood. Its function is to swell the abiding love, not to deplete it — which is exactly why the friends' suspicion, far from spending the rāga, leaves it undiminished.

Likewise the 'ghee-love' (ghṛta-sneha) — a love made wholly of being his — is clearly perceived here.
UN distinguishes two grades of sneha (melting love). ghṛta-sneha ('ghee-love'), like clarified butter, is marked by tadīyatā, the sense 'I belong to him' — the lover's stress falls on being his; this is Candrāvalī's type, so Viśvanātha names it here. Its counterpart, madhu-sneha ('honey-love'), like honey with its many blended flavours, is marked by madīyatā, 'he is mine.' The point at hand: Candrāvalī's love reads as the ghṛta kind.
