tīvrārka-dyuti-dīpitaiḥheated by the rays of the fierce sun instrumental agreeing with 'maṇḍalaiḥ' in L2: what made the stones scorching; tīvra-arka = blazing sun, dyuti = its rays, dīpita = kindled/made hotप्रचण्ड सूर्य की किरणों से जो तपा दी गई हैं, उन (शिलाओं) के द्वारा
asi-latā-dhārā-karālāsribhiḥ[stones] whose edges are as terrifying as the blade of a sword-creeper bahuvrīhi, instrumental with 'maṇḍalaiḥ'; asi-latā = a sword taken as a creeper, dhārā = its blade, karāla = terrifying, aśri = corners/edgesजिनके कोने तलवाररूपी लता की धार-से भीषण हैं, उन (शिलाओं) के द्वारा
tīvrārka-dyuti-dīpitaiḥ — heated by the rays of the fierce sun; asi-latā-dhārā-karālāsribhiḥ — [and] whose edges are terrifying as a sword-blade — [these describe the sun-stone clusters of L2].
The first line piles up adjectives for the rocks she is standing on. They are heated by the rays of the fierce sun. Their corners are as terrifying as the cutting edge of a drawn sword. Everything so far is a build-up of how murderous the ground under her feet is.
An udāharaṇa (illustrative verse, introduced by the lead-in 'yathā—') for the sthāyi-bhāva, the abiding love (rati/prema) that is the subject of prakaraṇa 14: Rādhā's love runs so deep that scorching, sword-edged rock is felt as a couch of soft lotuses.

She is standing on the mountain slope. The slope is made bumpy and uneven by masses of sun-stones—gems said to catch fire in sunlight. 'Even though' the footing is that hostile, she stands there.
mārtaṇḍa-upala / sūrya-kānta is the sunstone of Sanskrit lore, a gem believed to grow hot and even spark in direct sun — which is why these particular rocks are scorching, not merely warm.

asau — this woman; paśupendra-nandanam paśyantī — gazing at the son of the cowherd-king; indīvaraiḥ āstṛte [talpe] — on [a couch] strewn with blue lotuses.
This is Rādhā, and she is gazing at Kṛṣṇa, the son of Nanda the cowherd-king. Now the line pivots: instead of the burning rock, we hear of a couch strewn with blue lotuses—the setup for the 'as if' that finishes in line four.
The turn from L1-L2 (scorching rock) to 'a couch strewn with blue lotuses' is the poet's utprekṣā, the 'as if': the hostile ground is imagined as its exact opposite. This transformation is the headline of the verse.

She stands as if she had set her lotus feet on a couch strewn with blue lotuses—delighted, motionless. That 'as if' is the whole point: the sword-edged, sun-baked rock of the first two lines is felt by her as a soft bed of lotuses. Her love has turned the pain into its opposite.

To back up glossing 'aśri' as 'corner', he quotes the Amarakośa dictionary: 'pālī, aśri, koṭi' are the words for a corner or edge, and they are feminine. This authorizes reading aśri = koṇa.
Why cited: Amarakośa cited to license the gloss aśri = koṇa/koṭi, 'corner, edge'.

Here is his key point. The pain that ought to come from that scorching, sharp, hard slope was instead felt as its exact opposite—cool, soft, pleasant. An objection using a homely example. A sleeping man feels no mosquito bites—agreed. But when he wakes at dawn, the bite-welts are plainly there on his skin. By the same logic, even if Rādhā felt nothing at the time, the burns on her tender soles should show up afterward. In the analogy: the sleeper is Rādhā, the mosquito bites are the burning rock, and the welts-on-waking are the burns that ought to appear later. To this the commentator answers only, 'Not so'—the real reply comes next.

The real reply. Immersed in the bliss of seeing Kṛṣṇa, her whole body—from her nails to the top of her head—turned cooler than ten million moons. Such a body cannot be heated at all. Why not? Because the moon can never be heated by the sun's rays. In the analogy her body is the moon and the burning stones are the sun: the moon simply cannot be warmed, so there is no heat to leave burns—and hence no after-marks, unlike the sleeper's welts.

tūla-khaṇḍasya api tīkṣṇa-śilayā parābhava-adarśanātsince a wad of cotton is never seen to be damaged by a sharp stone ablative of reason: because no such harm is observed; parābhava = 'being overcome/damaged'क्योंकि रुई के टुकड़े का भी तीक्ष्ण शिला से पराभव (क्षति) नहीं देखा जाता
tūla-khaṇḍebhyaḥ api atisukumāra-caraṇāyāḥ tasyāḥof her, whose feet are softer even than wads of cotton genitive; the comparison ā-fortiori—softer than cottonरुई के टुकड़ों से भी अधिक कोमल चरणोंवाली उस (राधा) का
tayoḥ parābhāva-abhāvaḥ jñeyaḥit should be understood that the two [heat and sharpness] cannot harm them tayoḥ = 'of/by the two' (the heat and the sharp edges); jñeyaḥ = 'is to be understood'उन दोनों (ताप और तीखे कोनों) से पराभव का अभाव जान लेना चाहिए
tathā loke — likewise in the world; tūla-khaṇḍasya api tīkṣṇa-śilayā parābhava-adarśanāt — since a cotton wad is not seen harmed by a sharp stone; tūla-khaṇḍebhyaḥ api atisukumāra-caraṇāyāḥ tasyāḥ tayoḥ parābhāva-abhāvaḥ jñeyaḥ — understand that heat and sharpness cannot overcome her feet, softer than cotton.
A second everyday example. In the world, a wad of cotton is never damaged by a sharp stone—the softness just yields, and nothing is cut. Her feet are softer even than cotton. So understand that neither the heat nor the sharp edges can do them any harm. Mapping: the cotton is her feet, the sharp stone is the rock; because the soft thing cannot be cut, the sharpness (and heat) simply have no purchase. The example works for hardness and sharpness; the previous one (moon) covered the heat.
