viśleṣasya asahiṣṇutāan inability to endure separation viśleṣasya genitive: intolerance OF separationवियोग को सह न सकना (वियोग की असहिष्णुता)
prauḍhaḥ premā sa — that love is prauḍha; yatra — where; viśleṣasya asahiṣṇutā syāt — there arises an inability to bear separation.
That love is called prauḍha — 'full-grown' — in which the lover cannot bear even separation. This line is the lakṣaṇa, the definition; the verse that follows illustrates it.

'Make me a captivating picture-board painted with Kṛṣṇa's form, and hand it over.' Rādhā is speaking, half in irony, to Lalitā, who keeps telling her to hold her māna.
The udāharaṇa (example-verse, L2–L5) illustrating prauḍha prema, 'full-grown love,' just defined in L1 as the love that cannot endure separation. Spoken by Rādhā to her friend Lalitā (so Jīva and Viśvanātha identify the scene).

yatra — yatra; yatra sati — [means] 'when it obtains.'
Viśvanātha reads the mūla's 'yatra' (L1) as a 'when' clause: prauḍha love is present precisely when that intolerance of separation is present.

Viśvanātha squeezes the participle 'paśyantī' (ongoing 'looking'): she can look at even the painting only in snatches, and only deep indoors — never outside, where the southern breeze, the monsoon clouds and other uddīpanas would flood her and break the māna at once.
