tadīyāt vāor rising from what is his — Kṛṣṇa's vā = 'or', the second source; tadīya = 'belonging to him'अथवा उसके (श्रीकृष्ण के) स्वरूप से
jātāis born, arisen [this love]उत्पन्न हुई
yat-kiñcid-anvayātthrough any slight connection at all yat-kiñcit = 'even a trace'; anvaya = 'linkage'किसी थोड़े-से सम्बन्ध-मात्र से

This love is born in one of two ways. Either it rises straight from the heroine's own nature, or it rises from Kṛṣṇa — through even the faintest connection to him.
The lakṣaṇa (definition) of samarthā rati, the highest of the sthāyi-bhāvas — the abiding loves that are the ground of rasa. This verse states where it comes from and how dense it is.

Jīva sets up the verse. Rūpa has already defined samarthā rati twice — once by its effect, once by its own nature. Now he defines it a third way, by a further effect, to bring out its supremacy. 'Arisen from one's own nature' means from the heroine's own being. Or else it arises from Kṛṣṇa — from bare contact with any one thing of his: his nature, his name, and so on. Its least speck makes one forget everything. So this samarthā is the densest love, and Jīva adds: nothing, not even an outside emotion, can break into it.

sva-svarūpāt lalanā-niṣṭha-svarūpāt jātā iti'arisen from one's own nature' means arisen from the nature seated in the heroine herself niṣṭha = 'grounded in, resting on''अपने स्वरूप से' अर्थात् नायिका में स्थित स्वरूप से उत्पन्न — ऐसा (जो कहा)
pūrvokta-rati-dvayātthat is, from the two loves already taught identifies the heroine's 'own nature' with the earlier pair of ratisपूर्वोक्त दो रतियों से
asya hetuḥ api parama-vilakṣaṇaḥ evaso even its cause is utterly unlike anything else api = 'even [the cause, not just the love]'; eva = 'utterly'इसका कारण भी अत्यन्त विलक्षण ही है
iti bhāvaḥthis is the underlying pointयही अभिप्राय है
sva-svarūpāt = lalanā-niṣṭha-svarūpāt jātā iti — 'from one's own nature' means from the heroine-rooted nature; pūrvokta-rati-dvayāt — namely from the two loves taught before; asya hetuḥ api parama-vilakṣaṇaḥ eva — even its cause is utterly extraordinary; iti bhāvaḥ — this is the sense.
Viśvanātha unpacks 'from one's own nature': it means the nature rooted in the heroine herself — that is, the two loves already described. His point: even the source of this love is utterly unlike anything ordinary. Not just the love, but its very cause is extraordinary.

'From what is his' means from anything linked to Kṛṣṇa — even just a word. Or from the barest connection of any kind. The trigger can be nothing more than his name.

vastutas tu svata eveti bhāvaḥ, samarthā anvartha-nāmnīty arthaḥ |
vastutaḥ tu svataḥ eva iti bhāvaḥbut in truth it arises from itself alone — that is the real point tu = 'but', correcting the surface reading; svataḥ eva = 'from itself alone'परन्तु वस्तुतः वह अपने-आप से ही (उत्पन्न) है — यही अभिप्राय है
samarthā anvartha-nāmnī iti arthaḥ'samarthā' is a name that lives up to its meaning: truly capable anvartha-nāman = 'a name whose sense fits the thing named''समर्था' यह सार्थक (अन्वर्थ) नाम है — ऐसा अर्थ है

But really, Viśvanātha says, this love arises from itself alone — no external cause is truly needed. And the name 'samarthā,' the 'competent' one, lives up to its sense: it is capable in its own right.

Now he gestures at that competence, only hinting at it. He decodes 'sarva-vismāri-gandhā' word by word: her scent alone makes one forget everything — family duty, one's composure, the fear of what people will say, all of it. She is the one whose faint trace does exactly that.
