bhavāmbuja-bhavādayaḥ — Śiva, Brahmā, and the like; tava padāmbuja-upāsanām — the worship of your lotus feet; [uśanti — long for].
Śiva, the lotus-born Brahmā, and gods of that rank — the worship of your lotus feet is the very thing they crave. (The verb 'long for' comes in the next line.)
The opening of an udāharaṇa (illustrative verse), the message Rukmiṇī sends to Kṛṣṇa. Viśvanātha frames it as the example of the emotion as it appears in the samañjasā (the 'fitting,' wedded) love, following the prior example in the samarthā love; the lead-in 'yathā vā' marks it as a second illustration.

They long for it — and these are beings the gods themselves bow down to. How much more, then, kings of little merit long for it.
'kim uta' is the pivot of the argument-from-the-greater: if even the highest gods crave it, lesser kings crave it all the more.

'madhurima-ambudheḥ' carries the śleṣa that Viśvanātha unpacks below: 'ocean of sweetness' also reads as 'ocean of the amorous rasa.'

'kaiha' is a variant reading (pāṭha) for 'kim uta'; Jīva records both and leaves the choice open. (Note that Viśvanātha instead sets the verse before the marriage, as a letter — the two are not harmonized here.)

śleṣeṇa — by śleṣa; madhurasya śṛṅgāra-rasasya bhāvaḥ — the essence of the 'sweet,' i.e. the amorous rasa; madhurimā — is [also] 'madhurima'; tasya ambudheḥ — of that ocean; tava dāsyam — servitude to you; dāsītvam — [means] being your handmaid.
Here Viśvanātha catches the śleṣa. On the surface 'madhurima' is just 'sweetness,' so Kṛṣṇa is an 'ocean of sweetness.' But read again, 'madhurima' is madhura-bhāva — the essence of the madhura, that is, the śṛṅgāra rasa, the amorous mood. So he is the very ocean of amorous rasa. And 'dāsyam,' servitude, he sharpens to 'dāsītvam' — being your handmaid, a woman's loving service. The girl asks not to be any servant, but your handmaid in that rasa.
śleṣa — one word carrying two senses at once; here 'madhurima' = both plain sweetness and 'the bhāva of madhura (= śṛṅgāra) rasa,' and both readings stand together, not one in place of the other.
