sva-kara-grathitām mālāṁ avekṣya — catching sight of the garland woven by her own hands.
She catches sight of the garland she strung with her own hands.
An udāharaṇa (illustrative verse, in her friend Vṛndā's voice — so Viśvanātha stages it below) of gaurava and dākṣiṇya, two of the vyabhicāri-bhāvas of prakaraṇa 13: gaurava, reverential regard, and dākṣiṇya, gracious courtesy. The lead-in reads 'gaurava-dākṣiṇyābhyāṁ, yathā—' ('of gaurava and dākṣiṇya, as follows'). The sign being shown: seeing her own hand-woven garland now dangling on her rival's braid, Candramukhī swallows her agitation and stays silent — her reverence and graciousness override her jealousy.

pratipakṣa-keśa-pakṣeon the braid of her rival locative; pratipakṣa = the opposing side, the rival gopī; keśa-pakṣa = the mass of hair, the braid (glossed kavarī below). Note the play of pakṣa against pratipakṣaसौत की चोटी पर (कहाँ लटकती हुई — इसका सूचक)
mālāṁ viluṭhantīṁ — the garland dangling loose; pratipakṣa-keśa-pakṣe — on her rival's braid.
— and sees it now dangling on the braid of her rival. The garland she made has ended up adorning the other woman's hair.

Candramukhī, holding it all in, fell silent. She lets nothing out — no protest, no complaint. That swallowed jealousy, checked by reverence and courtesy, is the transient feeling being illustrated.

candramukhyāḥ sakhī vṛndā — Candramukhī's friend Vṛndā; prāha — speaks; sveti — [the verse] 'sva-...'.
Viśvanātha sets the frame. The verse is spoken by Candramukhī's friend Vṛndā, about her — the verse beginning 'sva-kara...'. So it is a friend describing the scene, not Candramukhī herself.

keśa-pakṣe kavaryām |
keśa-pakṣe[the verse's word] keśa-pakṣa means: the mūla word (L2) being glossed(मूल का) 'केश-पक्ष' शब्द
kavaryām'on the braid' — the coil of plaited hair locative, matching the mūla's locativeचोटी में, अर्थात् कवरी में
keśa-pakṣe — [the verse's] keśa-pakṣa; kavaryām — [means] 'on the braid'.
Viśvanātha glosses the verse-word keśa-pakṣa as kavarī — the braid, the plaited coil of hair. So the garland is dangling on the rival's braid.

pāśaḥ pakṣaś ca hastaś ca kalāpārthāḥ kacāt pare ity amaraḥ |
pāśaḥ pakṣaś ca hastaś ca[the words] pāśa, and pakṣa, and hasta nominatives in a list; ca … ca = 'and … and'पाश, और पक्ष, और हस्त
kalāpārthāḥ[all] carry the sense of kalāpa — 'a mass, a bunch [of hair]'कलाप (केश-समूह) के अर्थ वाले हैं
kacāt parewhen they are set after the word kaca ('hair') kacāt ablative + pare 'the ones following' — i.e. as the second member of a compound with kaca / keśa'कच' शब्द के बाद आने पर (अर्थात् समास में उसके साथ दूसरे पद के रूप में)
ity amaraḥso states the Amara-kośaऐसा अमरकोश कहता है
pāśaḥ pakṣaḥ ca hastaḥ ca kacāt pare — pāśa, pakṣa and hasta, coming after kaca; kalāpārthāḥ — carry the sense 'mass [of hair]'; ity amaraḥ — so says Amara.
Viśvanātha backs the gloss with the lexicon. The Amara-kośa lays down the rule: the words pāśa, pakṣa and hasta, when they follow kaca ('hair'), all mean the same as kalāpa — a thick mass, a braid. So keśa-pakṣa is not 'a wing or side of hair'; it is 'a braid.'
Why cited: The Amara-kośa is cited to license reading keśa-pakṣa as kavarī, 'braid': the lexicon rules that pāśa, pakṣa and hasta following kaca ('hair') all denote a mass of hair, so pakṣa here means 'braid,' not its ordinary 'wing / side.'

sthagitā saṁvṛta-kṣobhety arthaḥ ||
sthagitā[the verse's word] sthagitā means: the mūla word (L3) being glossed(मूल का) 'स्थगिता' शब्द
saṁvṛta-kṣobhā'one whose agitation is covered over' — she has kept her inner turmoil hidden saṁvṛta = covered/concealed, kṣobha = agitation, upheavalजिसकी क्षोभ ढँकी हुई है
ity arthaḥthat is the senseऐसा अर्थ है
sthagitā — [the verse's] sthagitā; saṁvṛta-kṣobhā ity arthaḥ — means 'one whose agitation is concealed'.
And 'sthagitā' — Viśvanātha explains — does not mean the garland is hidden. It describes Candramukhī herself: one whose kṣobha, her inner agitation, is covered over. She has swallowed her jealousy and kept it out of sight.
sthagitā is feminine nominative, so it agrees with candramukhī, not with the accusative mālāṁ — it qualifies the girl, not the garland. Viśvanātha's saṁvṛta-kṣobhā pins that down: the thing 'covered' is her agitation, and this concealment is exactly the gaurava-dākṣiṇya the verse illustrates.
