An udāharaṇa of moha (bewilderment, swoon), one of the vyabhicāri-bhāvas catalogued in prakaraṇa 13. Viśvanātha frames it as moha arising in sādhāraṇī (ordinary) rati, quoted for a kaimutya ('how much more') point: if even the celestial goddesses' ordinary attraction bewilders them, how much more the gopīs' consummate love. From Bhāgavata 10.21.12 (the gopīs' Veṇu-gīta), spoken by the gopīs to one another.

samarthāyāṁ ratau moham udāhṛtyahaving already illustrated moha in samarthā rati — the gopīs' own consummate love locative 'in the case of'; the samarthā illustration was the preceding verse (see the '(46)' at s5)समर्था रति में मोह का उदाहरण देकर
kaimutyārthamin order to make the 'how much more' point (kaimutya, an a-fortiori argument)'तब और कितना अधिक' — इस कैमुत्य अर्थ को दिखाने के लिए
sādhāraṇyābhyāsa-rūpāyāmnow in the rati of the ordinary, general kind (sādhāraṇī), reached by habitual attraction (abhyāsa) modifies an understood ratau: sādhāraṇya (commonness) + abhyāsa (habituation) + rūpā; the celestial goddesses have only this ordinary attraction, not the gopīs' samarthā ratiसाधारणता के अभ्यास रूप (रति) में
udāhartum āha—yathā va itito illustrate [moha there too], he speaks the passage beginning 'yathā vā'उदाहरण देने के लिए 'यथा वा' कहते हैं
samarthāyāṁ ratau moham udāhṛtya — having illustrated moha in samarthā rati; kaimutyārtham — for the 'how much more' point; sādhāraṇyābhyāsa-rūpāyām [ratau] — in the rati of the ordinary (sādhāraṇī) kind; udāhartum — to illustrate it there as well; āha — he speaks the words 'yathā vā'.
He has already shown moha in samarthā rati — the gopīs' consummate love (verse 46). Now he wants a 'how much more' point (kaimutya): so he illustrates moha once more in the ordinary, general kind of attraction — sādhāraṇī rati. The celestial goddesses feel only that everyday pull toward Kṛṣṇa, yet even they are bewildered; how much more, then, the gopīs. To show this he quotes the verse beginning 'yathā vā'.
Ujjvala-nīlamaṇi grades a woman's rati into kinds; sādhāraṇī is the ordinary, common attraction (as of outside women), while samarthā is the gopīs' consummate, self-complete love. kaimutya is the standard 'how much more' (a-fortiori) move: prove the point in the weaker case and the stronger follows by force.

gopyaḥ — the gopīs, parasparam — among themselves, āhuḥ — speak [the words] kṛṣṇam iti — beginning 'kṛṣṇam'.
He fixes the speaker-frame: it is the gopīs, talking to one another, who say the verse that begins 'kṛṣṇam'.
So Viśvanātha reads the whole verse as the gopīs' report about the celestial goddesses, not a narrator's — which is what lets it stand as an example of ordinary rati observed from within the gopīs' supreme rati.

A parenthetical numeral preserved from the source. Not doctrinally decodable; it appears to be an alternate or cross verse-number, plausibly the preceding samarthā-rati illustration (13.46) that Viśvanātha names in s1.
