An udāharaṇa of viṣāda (despondency) arising from iṣṭa-anavāpti — the failure to attain the longed-for thing — the illustration set at Ujjvala-nīlamaṇi 13.7, quoting Vidagdha-mādhava 2.56. The whole verse is Rādhā's lament.
