O friend, on this whole earth, who can tell any difference between Candrāvalī and Tārā? No one — the two of you are held equal.
The headline point is a śleṣa on candrāvali-tārayoḥ. One layer names two women, Candrāvalī and Tārā (= Rādhā, so the commentators). The other is literal: candrāvali is the moon / a stream of moonlight, tārā the star(s) — and no one on earth can prise apart moonlight from stars. On the surface Padmā consoles that the two are indistinguishable in glory; Viśvanātha (s3) hears the barb underneath — Rādhā's greater fame is 'false, spread by your rivals.'

Jīva fixes the reference: here the word 'tārā' (star) points to Śrī Rādhā. And notice the verb he picks — dyotitā, 'lit up.' Since a tārā is a star, the star-word itself lights Rādhā up.

Here is the barb Viśvanātha hears hidden under the consolation.

rādhā viśākhā iti abhidhānāt — because there is the designation 'Rādhā is Viśākhā'; tārā eva — 'tārā' itself [therefore lands on Rādhā].
How does 'tārā' come to mean Rādhā? Because of the recorded equation 'Rādhā = Viśākhā.' A tārā is a star, and here the asterism named Viśākhā; and since Viśākhā is a name of Rādhā, the star-word 'tārā' lands squarely on Rādhā.
Why cited: Adduced to license reading 'tārā' (a star / the asterism Viśākhā) as Rādhā, by way of the received designation 'Rādhā = Viśākhā.'
Viśākhā is at once an asterism and a name of Rādhā; that double duty is the bridge from the star-word tārā to Rādhā.
