bibboko māna-garvābhyāṁ syād abhīṣṭe’py anādaraḥ ||
bibbokaḥthe anubhāva called bibboka — [now defined]बिब्बोक (इस नाम का हाव)
māna-garvābhyāmspringing from māna (sulking, jealous pride) and garva (conceit of one's own worth) instrumental dual of cause — the two feelings it grows out ofक्योंकि वह मान और गर्व — इन दो भावों से उपजता है
syātis [said to be] defining optativeहोता है
abhīṣṭe apieven toward a thing one actually longs for locative + api — the surprise: not toward the unwanted, but the wantedअभीष्ट (चाही हुई) वस्तु के प्रति भी
anādaraḥ[is] a display of disregard, paying it no heedअनादर / उपेक्षा
bibbokaḥ — bibboka; anādaraḥ — is a display of disregard; abhīṣṭe api — even toward a desired thing; māna-garvābhyām — springing from sulking pride and conceit; syāt — so it is defined.
Bibboka is this: out of māna (hurt, sulking pride) and garva (conceit), a girl shows disregard even for something she actually wants.
The mark of bibboka is that the scorned object is abhīṣṭa — genuinely desired — so the disdain is a pose, not real dislike. Its two roots: māna is the jealous, sulking pride that withholds; garva is the conceit of self-worth.

This begins the udāharaṇa illustrating bibboka as defined just above (11.52), 'proud disregard of even a desired thing.' Per Viśvanātha the verse is spoken by Rūpa-mañjarī, pointing out the scene from afar.

ati-vāmā puns: vāmā is both 'crooked, contrary' and 'a lovely woman' — she is beautiful and perverse in one word. It also sets up Viśvanātha's coming play on hṛdayaṅgamā, 'heart-going.'

Jīva unpacks 'even toward the desired': that desired thing may be an object the lover has given her, or it may be the lover himself.

adhīnasya api iti — the phrase 'even of the subordinate'; vibhrama-lakṣaṇasya — is [a mark] of the definition of vibhrama; parama-tattvāt — and because [bibboka] rests on its own ultimate essence; anena — with it; na sāṅkaryam — there is no confusion of definitions.
One might fear bibboka blurs into vibhrama, since both wear an 'even toward…' phrase. Jīva blocks it: 'even of the subordinate one' belongs to vibhrama's definition, whereas bibboka has its own defining root (māna and garva). So the two definitions do not run together.
A distinction-drawing against saṅkarya (definitional overlap) — saṅkarya is when two definitions bleed into each other like neighboring dyes. Jīva keeps them apart by their causes: vibhrama's mark is 'even of a dependent woman,' bibboka's is its springing from māna-garva toward a genuinely desired thing. The differentiator is the cause, not the outward act.

Viśvanātha draws out the 'though': had the garland reached her in private, Śyāmā would have worn this very garland right on her heart. It is the rivals' presence — not any dislike — that makes her scorn it.

The barely-smelling was itself a message. Viśvanātha reads it: 'Even this little sniff I gave only to humor you; but really, garlands like this my maidservants would not so much as wear.' That is the māna and garva of bibboka in action.

Note the layered snub: not merely 'I won't wear it' but 'even my servants would not' — garva (conceit) heaped on māna (sulking pride), yet aimed at a garland that is in fact heart-winning.
