L1definition
gati-sthānāsanādīnāṁ mukha-netrādi-karmaṇām |
gati-sthāna-āsana-ādīnāṁof [her] gait, standing, sitting, and the rest genitive — these belong to the 'distinctiveness' named in L2चलने, खड़े होने, बैठने आदि की —
mukha-netra-ādi-karmaṇāmand of the actions of the face, eyes, and the rest second genitive string, running parallel to the firstतथा मुख, नेत्र आदि की चेष्टाओं की —
gati-sthāna-āsana-ādīnāṁ — of gait, standing, sitting, etc.; mukha-netra-ādi-karmaṇām — and of the actions of the face, eyes, etc. [both leaning on 'vaiśiṣṭyaṁ' in L2].
gati-sthāna-āsana-ādīnāṁ — चलने, खड़े होने, बैठने आदि की; mukha-netra-ādi-karmaṇām — मुख, नेत्र आदि की चेष्टाओं की (जो विशेषता, वह आगे कही जाती है)।
Take a girl's gait, how she stands, how she sits, and so on — and the play of her face, her eyes, and the rest. The verse is heading toward a special quality that shows up in all these. (The sentence finishes in the next line.)
चलना, खड़े होना, बैठना आदि तथा मुख और नेत्रों की चेष्टाएँ — इन सबकी (जो विशेषता होती है, उसका लक्षण अगली पंक्ति में कहते हैं)।
L2definition
tātkālikaṁ tu vaiśiṣṭyaṁ vilāsaḥ priya-saṅgajam ||
tātkālikaṁthe of-that-moment, momentary [quality] adjective on vaiśiṣṭyaṁ; the load-bearing word — it lasts only for that momentजो उसी क्षण भर की हो — तात्कालिक
tunow — marking this definition off from the ones beforeपरन्तु (यहीं भेद है)
vaiśiṣṭyaṁthe special distinctivenessवह विशेषता (वैशिष्ट्य)
vilāsaḥis what is called vilāsaविलास कहलाती है
priya-saṅgajamborn from meeting the beloved -ja 'born from' — this meeting is the trigger that produces itजो प्रियतम के संग (मिलन) से उत्पन्न होती है
priya-saṅgajam — born from meeting the beloved; tātkālikaṁ tu vaiśiṣṭyaṁ — the momentary special distinctiveness [in all those gaits and gestures]; vilāsaḥ — is called vilāsa.
tātkālikaṁ — उसी क्षण की; tu — परन्तु; vaiśiṣṭyaṁ — विशेषता; vilāsaḥ — विलास; priya-saṅgajam — प्रियतम के संग से उत्पन्न।
When she meets her beloved, a momentary special quality lights up her gait, her way of standing and sitting, and the play of face and eyes. That fleeting distinctiveness is what we call vilāsa. 'Momentary' (tātkālika) is the key word: it belongs to that meeting-moment alone.
प्रियतम के मिलन से उत्पन्न, चाल-बैठन तथा मुख-नेत्र की चेष्टाओं की जो उसी क्षण भर की विशेषता होती है, वही विलास है।
vilāsa is a classical grace of the heroine, taken up here as an anubhāva — an outward symptom by which the inner bhāva shows itself.
विलास नायिका का एक स्वाभाविक हाव (अलंकार) है; यहाँ उसे अनुभाव के रूप में लिया गया है — वह बाहरी लक्षण जिससे भीतर का भाव प्रकट होता है।

[nāsikā-]śikhā-grathita-mauktika-unnamana-kaitavena — on the pretext of pushing up the pearl strung at the nose-tip; smitam [ruṇatsi] — [you block your] smile.
śikhā-grathita-mauktika-unnamana-kaitavena — चोटी में गुँथे मोती को ऊपर उठाने के बहाने से; smitam — मुस्कान को।
The friend teases: on the excuse of nudging the pearl set at your nose-tip up into place, you smother your smile. (The verb 'you block' — ruṇatsi — sits in the opening line; here the object is 'the smile' and the trick is 'the pretext of the nose-pearl'.)
चोटी में गुँथे मोती को ऊपर सँभालने के बहाने से (तुम अपनी) मुस्कान को (छिपा रही हो / रोक रही हो)।
An udāharaṇa illustrating vilāsa, defined in v. 31 above: the momentary distinctiveness, born of meeting the beloved, in the actions of the face and eyes. Here the tell-tale is the smile Rādhā tries to hide before Kṛṣṇa.
यह विलास का उदाहरण है, जो ऊपर श्लोक ३१ में परिभाषित हुआ — प्रियतम के मिलन से उत्पन्न, मुख और नेत्र की चेष्टाओं की उसी क्षण की विशेषता। यहाँ वह लक्षण राधा की वह मुस्कान है, जिसे वह कृष्ण के सामने छिपाने का यत्न करती है।

[danta-dyutiḥ] sudhā-kiraṇa-kaumudī-mādhurīṁ — the sweetness of the moon's moonlight; aciraṁ nirāsthat — instantly drove [it] away.
nirāsthat — हटा दिया; aciraṁ — तुरन्त; sudhā-kiraṇa-kaumudī-mādhurīṁ — चन्द्रमा की चाँदनी की माधुरी को।
In no time it drove off the sweetness of the moonlight — the moon named here the 'nectar-rayed one.' What did the driving is named in the next line.
(उसने) अमृत-किरणवाले चन्द्रमा की चाँदनी की मधुरता को तुरन्त ही हरा दिया।

O sweet-toothed girl — even a hair's glimpse of your teeth's shine, barely peeping out, put the moon's moonlight to shame. So much for hiding the smile: the little that escaped already outshone the moon. That flash is the vilāsa — the momentary grace of the mouth, sprung from meeting Kṛṣṇa.
हे मधुर दाँतोंवाली (राधा)! थोड़ी सी भी प्रकट हुई तुम्हारी दन्तकान्ति ने (चन्द्रमा की चाँदनी को हरा दिया)।

Jīva only untangles the grammar: the strange form 'nirāsthat' means 'nirastavatī' — she cast [it] away.
'निरास्थत्' का अर्थ है 'निरस्तवती' — अर्थात् (जिसने) हटा दिया।

smitena — by her smile; mukha-candra-vyāpāra-vaiśiṣṭyaṁ — the special distinctiveness of her moon-face's working [is displayed]; nirāsthat — 'drove away' [means] tiraskṛtavatī — she eclipsed [the moon].
smitena — मुस्कान के द्वारा; mukha-candra-vyāpāra-vaiśiṣṭyaṁ — मुखचन्द्र के व्यापार की विशेषता को; nirāsthat — निरास्थत्; tiraskṛtavatī — तिरस्कृत कर दिया।
Two things in one line. First, by her smile the special distinctiveness of her moon-face's play comes out — and that is the vilāsa the verse is illustrating. Notice it repeats the definition's own words: the 'distinctiveness of the face's action.' Second, he glosses the hard verb: 'nirāsthat' means 'tiraskṛtavatī' — she eclipsed, outshone the moon.
मुस्कान के द्वारा (राधा के) मुखरूपी चन्द्र के व्यापार की जो विशेषता (प्रकट हुई) — वही विलास है; और 'निरास्थत्' का अर्थ है 'तिरस्कृत कर दिया', अर्थात् (उसने चन्द्रमा को) हरा दिया।
