O Govardhana, here you stand on the land that adjoins Gokula.
An udāharaṇa (illustrative verse), quoted from Lalita-mādhave 3.42, showing Govardhana — the great hill of Vraja — as an uddīpana-vibhāva, an excitant that rouses the rasa: in her grief the very hill becomes something Rādhā turns to.

śrī-kṛṣṇam anveṣantīas she searches for Śrī Kṛṣṇa present participle, feminine, describing Rādhā — the search is ongoingश्रीकृष्ण को ढूँढ़ती हुई (वर्तमान कृदन्त, स्त्रीलिंग — राधा का वर्णन; खोज निरन्तर चल रही है)
śrī-rādhāŚrī Rādhāश्रीराधा
pṛcchatiasksपूछती हैं
govardhana iti— in the verse beginning 'govardhana' iti names the mūla by its opening word'गोवर्धन' इस शब्द से (इति मूल श्लोक को उसके आरम्भिक शब्द से नाम देता है)
viraha-unmādena — driven mad by separation; śrī-kṛṣṇam anveṣantī — searching for Śrī Kṛṣṇa; śrī-rādhā — Śrī Rādhā; pṛcchati — asks; govardhana iti — with the verse 'govardhana …'.
Maddened by separation, Śrī Rādhā is searching for Kṛṣṇa. In that state she asks — the verse beginning 'govardhana' is her question. Viśvanātha thus names the speaker and her condition.
viraha-unmāda: the derangement born of separation, a recognized condition of vipralambha (love-in-separation). It is exactly this state that turns an ordinary hill into an uddīpana — an excitant of the mood.

śirobhiḥ śṛṅgair nabhaḥ svargaṁ saṁspṛśya harito diśaḥ ||
śirobhiḥ'heads' —शिरों से
śṛṅgaiḥmeans with the peaks the gloss-word; śiras is read as the hill's mountain-peaksशिखरों से (यह व्याख्या-शब्द है; 'शिर' को पर्वत के शिखर के रूप में पढ़ा जाता है)
nabhaḥ'the sky' —नभ को
svargammeans heaven raising nabhas from mere 'sky' to the height of heavenस्वर्ग को (नभ को केवल 'आकाश' से उठाकर स्वर्ग की ऊँचाई तक)
saṁspṛśyahaving touched his gloss for the mūla's abhipadya 'reaching' — the peaks actually touch heavenभलीभाँति छूकर (मूल के 'अभिपद्य' अर्थात् 'पहुँचकर' की व्याख्या — शिखर सचमुच स्वर्ग को छूते हैं)
haritaḥ'haritaḥ' —हरितों को
diśaḥmeans the directions settles the ambiguous word: harit = the quarters of space, not 'green'दिशाओं को (सन्दिग्ध शब्द का निर्णय: हरित् = दिशाएँ, 'हरा रंग' नहीं)
śirobhiḥ = śṛṅgaiḥ; nabhaḥ = svargam; saṁspṛśya (= abhipadya); haritaḥ = diśaḥ.
Viśvanātha decodes the hard words of the verse. 'Heads' means the peaks. 'Sky' means heaven. 'Reaching' is touching — the peaks touch heaven. And 'haritaḥ' means the directions, the quarters of space, not anything green.
