sakhi ropito dvipatraḥ
sakhiO friend — she turns to her confidanteहे सखी!
dvi-patraḥwhen it had only two little leaves predicative: its state at the moment it was planted, a bare two-leaf seedlingजो दो ही पत्तों वाला था — रोपे जाने के समय केवल दो पत्तों का नन्हा अंकुर
ropitaḥwas planted past-passive; the agent (Kṛṣṇa) comes in the next line, instrumentalरोपा गया (कर्मवाच्य; रोपने वाला — कृष्ण — अगली पंक्ति में तृतीया से आता है)
sakhi — O friend; dvi-patraḥ — as a two-leaved seedling; ropitaḥ — was planted
O friend — that sapling was set into the ground back when it carried only two tiny leaves.
An udāharaṇa illustrating the kadamba tree (kadamba) as an uddīpana-vibhāva, an excitant of rasa — the lead-in reads 'kadambo, yathā—', 'the kadamba, for example'. Here the excitant works in separation (viraha): the very tree Kṛṣṇa planted, now in bloom, inflames the cowherd women's longing.

śatapatrākṣeṇa yo vraja-dvāri |
śata-patra-akṣeṇaby the lotus-eyed one — it was Kṛṣṇa who did the planting instrumental of the agent for the passive ropitaḥ; śata-patra = the hundred-petaled lotus, akṣa = eyeकमल-नयन के द्वारा (शतपत्र = सौ पंखुड़ियों वाला कमल, अक्ष = नेत्र; कर्मवाच्य 'रोपितः' का कर्ता तृतीया में)
yaḥwhich (sapling) — relative pointing back to the kadambaजो [अंकुर]
vraja-dvāriright at the gateway of Vraja locative of placeव्रज के द्वार पर (अधिकरण-सप्तमी)
yaḥ — which sapling; śata-patra-akṣeṇa — by the lotus-eyed Kṛṣṇa; vraja-dvāri — at Vraja's gate; (ropitaḥ — was planted)
And it was the lotus-eyed Kṛṣṇa himself who planted it, right there at the gate of Vraja.
śata-patra 'hundred-petaled' = the lotus; śata-patra-akṣa 'lotus-eyed' is Kṛṣṇa. The tender detail — his own hand set the seedling — is what will make its blossoming unbearable.

so’yaṁ kadamba-ḍimbhaḥ
so’yaṁthat very one, now here before us saḥ + ayam: the correlative to yaḥ — the same sapling of long ago, present to her eyes nowवही यह (सः + अयम्; 'यः' का प्रतिसम्बन्धी — बहुत पहले का वही अंकुर, अब उसकी आँखों के सामने)
kadamba-ḍimbhaḥthe little kadamba 'child' ḍimbha = an infant, a young one — the tree cast as a baby he rearedकदम्ब-रूपी शिशु (डिम्भ = शिशु, बच्चा — वृक्ष को उस बालक के रूप में जिसे उसने पाला)
so’yaṁ — that very one; kadamba-ḍimbhaḥ — the baby kadamba tree
That very seedling — the little kadamba 'child' he raised — is the one I mean.
ḍimbha 'infant, young one' casts the tree as a child Kṛṣṇa reared from two leaves; the homely word carries the ache of watching it grow up in his absence.

phullo vallava-vadhūs tudati ||
phullaḥnow that it has burst into full bloom predicative: the change of state — from two-leaf seedling to flowering tree — is the whole pointपुष्पित हुआ (विशेषण; दो पत्तों के अंकुर से फूले हुए वृक्ष तक की यह अवस्था-परिवर्तन ही पूरी बात है)
vallava-vadhūḥus cowherd wives — whom it wounds accusative plural, object of tudati; vallava = cowherd, vadhū = young wifeग्वालों की वधुओं को (कर्म, बहुवचन; वल्लव = ग्वाला, वधू = युवती)
tudatiit stabs, it torments √tud 'to pierce' — the blossoming tree pierces their heartsबींधता है / व्यथित करता है (√तुद् 'बींधना' — पुष्पित वृक्ष उनके हृदय को बींधता है)
phullaḥ (san) — now in full bloom; vallava-vadhūḥ — the cowherd women; tudati — it torments
Now that it has burst into flower, it stabs at us cowherd women. That is the excitant: the blooming tree wakes the memory of Kṛṣṇa and pierces the heart in his absence.

na vyākhyātam — [it is] not commented upon
Jīva passes over this verse without comment — 'not glossed'.
An editorial note that Jīva Gosvāmī offers no gloss here; the verse is left to speak for itself.

māthura-viraha is the separation-mood after Kṛṣṇa leaves Vraja for Mathurā — in Gauḍīya rasa-śāstra the most intense viraha of all. Viśvanātha keeps the speaker anonymous (kācid), so the decode does the same.
