The heading 'vṛndāraṇyaṁ, yathā' frames this verse as an udāharaṇa — Vṛndāvana itself as an uddīpana-vibhāva, the excitant that kindles the mood, which is the subject of prakaraṇa 10. The lament is Śrī Rādhā's, spoken in Kṛṣṇa's absence in Mathurā (so Viśvanātha, s1).

ete vṛndāvana-viṭapinaḥ — these trees of Vṛndāvana; vilāsān smārayantaḥ — reminding [me] of the pastimes.
And these very trees of Vṛndāvana — they keep calling back to my mind the love-plays we once shared here.
Here the excitant does its work: the trees, as reminders of past pastimes, are Vṛndāvana operating as an uddīpana-vibhāva — the memory-trigger that rekindles the mood of love-in-separation.

In full bloom, they force those very memories on me — and, you know, they rip my heart out by the very root.
The verse falls into two blows: L1–L2, hope keeping her painfully alive; L3–L4, the blossoming trees tearing her heart out — the two 'calamities' Viśvanātha separates at s3.

Viśvanātha sets the scene: now that Kṛṣṇa is away in Mathurā, it is Śrī Rādhā who laments here, in the verse that opens 'āśā-pāśaiḥ.' So it is he who names the speaker and the separation.
