kaṁsārāteḥ pibatu muralī tasya sad-vaṁśa-janmā
kaṁsārāteḥof Kaṁsāri (Kṛṣṇa, the slayer of Kaṁsa) — his flute, and his face genitive; governs both muralī here and vaktrendum in L2कंस के शत्रु (कृष्ण) के — यह षष्ठी मुरली और आगे (L2 में) मुख-चन्द्र दोनों से जुड़ती है
pibatulet her drink 3sg imperative; the object 'his moon-face' lands in L2भले ही पान करती रहे (आज्ञार्थ में स्वीकृति) — जिसका कर्म 'मुख-चन्द्र' L2 में आता है
muralīthe flute — she is the one allowed to nominative subject; muralī is feminine, personified as a womanमुरली (बाँसुरी) — कर्ता; स्त्रीलिंग होने से एक नारी के रूप में कल्पित
tasyahis (Kṛṣṇa's)उस (कृष्ण) के
sad-vaṁśa-janmāborn of good bamboo — and (śleṣa) of a good family vaṁśa = bamboo / lineage; the pun runs through the whole verseउत्तम बाँस से उत्पन्न — और साथ ही अच्छे कुल में जन्मी (वंश = बाँस तथा कुल, यह श्लेष पूरे श्लोक में चलता है)
kaṁsārāteḥ tasya sad-vaṁśa-janmā muralī [vaktrendum] pibatu.
kaṁsārāteḥ — कंसारि (कृष्ण) के; tasya — उसी के; sad-vaṁśa-janmā — उत्तम बाँस/कुल में जन्मी; muralī — मुरली; pibatu — भले ही पान करे
Let the flute drink the face of Kṛṣṇa. She may — she is well-born: sprung from good bamboo, and (the pun) of good family. Rādhā grants the flute her place at his lips, because the flute is high-born and refined. The object of 'let her drink' — his moon-face — arrives in the next line.
कृष्ण की वह मुरली, जो उत्तम बाँस से (और अच्छे कुल में) उत्पन्न हुई है, भले ही उसके [मुख-चन्द्र] का पान करती रहे। यहाँ 'वंश' शब्द बाँस और कुल दोनों को कहता है — बाँसुरी को एक कुलीन नारी के रूप में खड़ा किया गया है।
An udāharaṇa of śṛṅgī-rava, 'the sound of the [buffalo-]horn bugle,' offered as an uddīpana-vibhāva — an excitant of rasa; the lead-in names it (śṛṅgī-ravaḥ—). Śrī Rādhā speaks (so Viśvanātha), jealous even of the instruments that touch Kṛṣṇa's lips. The verse turns on a śleṣa: flute and horn are drawn as two rival women — the flute well-born and honest, the horn coarse and crooked.

akuṭilāun-crooked: physically straight — and (śleṣa) honest, guileless a flute is straight; a good woman is uprightसीधी, कुटिलता-रहित (बाँसुरी सीधी होती है; और सज्जन नारी छल-रहित होती है)
pañcamodgāra-gurvīmade venerable by pouring out the fifth note pañcama = the fifth musical note (of love and spring); gurvī = made weighty / respectedपंचम स्वर के उच्चारण से गौरवान्विता — पंचम (प्रेम और वसन्त का पाँचवाँ स्वर) निकालने में जो भारी/श्रेष्ठ है
sā akuṭilā pañcama-udgāra-gurvī [muralī] sphuṭam vaktrendum pibatu.
sā — वह मुरली; akuṭilā — सीधी/निष्कपट; pañcamodgāra-gurvī — पंचम स्वर से गौरवान्विता; sphuṭam — प्रकट रूप से; vaktrenduṁ — मुख-चन्द्र को (पान करे)
She — straight and honest, made venerable by sounding the fifth note — drinks openly the moon of his face. Every word doubles: the flute is literally straight, and heavy with the pañcama tone; the woman she stands for is upright in character and honored for her sweet song. So she earns her closeness to his lips.
वह मुरली सीधी (और निष्कपट) है, पंचम स्वर के उच्चारण से भारी/आदरणीय है — वह प्रकट रूप से उस मुख-चन्द्र का पान करती है।
śleṣa: akuṭilā = 'straight' (the flute's shape) and 'guileless' (a good woman's nature); gurvī = 'heavy/weighty' and 'venerable, respected.'

Now Rādhā rounds on the horn. 'You too have tasted this — his face-moon. But you are uneven and ugly, black as a crooked lump of charcoal.' Against the well-born flute she sets the horn: coarse, bent, coal-dark. The jealousy widens — even this rough instrument gets his breath.
और तू भी, हे विषम (ऊँची-नीची, दुष्ट-स्वभाव) और टेढ़ी अंगारे-सी काली — इस मुख-चन्द्र का आस्वादन करती है। गोरी बाँसुरी के सामने सींग-बाजा एक काली, टेढ़ी, कुरूप प्रतिद्वन्द्वी के रूप में खड़ा है।
śleṣa: viṣamā = 'uneven/rough' in shape and 'discordant, ill-natured' in character; the horn as a dark, crooked, ugly rival to the fair flute.

'O horn — this loud note you blare, that is what gives pain.' The tu marks the turn: not your coarseness — that she could overlook — but your loud voice is what wounds her. And that is the point of the whole verse: the horn is an uddīpana, its very sound stirring and sharpening her mood.

śrī-rādhā āha — "kaṁsārāteḥ" iti.
śrī-rādhā āha — श्रीराधा कहती हैं; kaṁsārāter iti — 'कंसारातेः' इस पद से (आरम्भ होने वाले श्लोक को)
Viśvanātha sets the frame: it is Śrī Rādhā who speaks the verse 'kaṁsārāteḥ...' So the whole speech — praise of the flute, blame of the horn — is hers, and its charge is her jealousy.
श्रीराधा कहती हैं — 'कंसारातेः' इत्यादि (श्लोक को)।
The speaker is unnamed in the mūla; Viśvanātha supplies it — Rādhā. This fixes the verse as a jealous address in her voice.
मूल में वक्ता का नाम नहीं है; विश्वनाथ उसे बताते हैं — राधा। इससे श्लोक राधा की वाणी में एक ईर्ष्यायुक्त सम्बोधन के रूप में निश्चित हो जाता है।

viṣamā sthaulye'pi sarvatra sāmānya-rahitā sā prasiddhā yaśasvinī duḥkhākaroti duḥkhaṁ dadāti |
viṣamāthe word 'viṣamā' he now unpacks lemma from L3 (the horn)'विषमा' (L3 का पद, सींग-बाजे के लिए)
sthaulye'pieven in [her] coarseness / bulk locative + api — concessive: 'even granting she is thick and gross'स्थूल (मोटी-भद्दी) होने पर भी — सप्तमी + 'अपि' से रियायत का भाव
sarvatra sāmānya-rahitāshe is everywhere without an equal the gloss proper: viṣama read as 'unequalled' (a-sama), 'having no match'सर्वत्र समानता से रहित (अर्थात् 'विषम' = अ-सम, जिसकी कोई बराबरी नहीं) — यही असली अर्थ है
sā prasiddhā yaśasvinīshe, the well-known, glorious oneवह प्रसिद्ध और यशस्विनी
duḥkhākaroti duḥkhaṁ dadāti'duḥkhākaroti' means 'she gives pain''दुःखाकरोति' अर्थात् दुःख देती है
viṣamā — sthaulye api sarvatra sāmānya-rahitā [ity arthaḥ]; sā prasiddhā yaśasvinī; duḥkhākaroti — duḥkhaṁ dadāti.
viṣamā — विषमा; sthaulye'pi — स्थूल होने पर भी; sarvatra sāmānya-rahitā — सर्वत्र समता-रहित (अद्वितीय); sā prasiddhā yaśasvinī — वह प्रसिद्ध यशस्विनी; duḥkhākaroti duḥkhaṁ dadāti — दुःख देती है
He glosses viṣamā. It is not merely 'harsh': even in her coarseness the horn is peerless — everywhere she has no equal, that famous, glorious lady. And duḥkhākaroti he unpacks simply as 'she gives pain.' So the sting lands: even this unmatched, renowned one, by her loud blaring, only brings Rādhā sorrow.
'विषमा' — भले ही वह मोटी-भद्दी हो, तो भी सर्वत्र अपनी कोई बराबरी न रखने वाली (अ-सम, अद्वितीय) है; वह प्रसिद्ध और यशस्विनी 'दुःखाकरोति' अर्थात् दुःख देती है।
Viśvanātha reads viṣamā not as plain 'ugly' but as viṣama = 'un-even, without a peer' — turning the word into (double-edged) praise: even a coarse horn that is renowned and glorious still only pains her.
विश्वनाथ 'विषमा' को केवल 'कुरूप' नहीं, अपितु 'विषम' = 'असम, बेजोड़' अर्थ में पढ़ते हैं — शब्द को (दुधारी) प्रशंसा में बदल देते हैं: भद्दा सींग-बाजा भी, चाहे प्रसिद्ध और यशस्वी हो, फिर भी उसे केवल पीड़ा ही देता है।

"duḥkhāt prātilomye" iti [sūtreṇa] ḍāc [pratyayaḥ].
duḥkhāt prātilomye — 'दुःखात् प्रातिलोम्ये' (सूत्र); iti ḍāc — इस प्रकार डाच् प्रत्यय
A grammar note. The odd verb duḥkhākaroti is licensed by Pāṇini 5.4.64, 'duḥkhāt prātilomye': from the word duḥkha, in the sense of 'treating adversely, going against,' the affix ḍāc is added — which is why we get duḥkhā-karoti, 'acts painfully / makes miserable,' and not an ordinary compound.
'दुःखात् प्रातिलोम्ये' (पाणिनि ५।४।६४) — इस सूत्र से यहाँ डाच् प्रत्यय होता है।
Why cited: Cited to justify the grammatical form duḥkhākaroti — the ḍāc affix (Pāṇini 5.4.64), giving the sense 'acts adversely / gives pain.'
क्यों उद्धृत: यह सूत्र 'दुःखाकरोति' रूप को सिद्ध करने के लिए उद्धृत है — डाच् प्रत्यय (पाणिनि ५।४।६४), जिससे 'प्रतिकूल आचरण करना / दुःख देना' अर्थ बनता है।
