An udāharaṇa (illustrative verse) for gamana, 'walking, gait', as an uddīpana-vibhāva — an excitant that kindles rasa (here the lover's mood). The lead-in gamanam— names the quality being illustrated. Spoken by a woman to her friend (sahacari, L3), it praises the sweetness of how Mādhava walks.
