Cupid is a hunter, and his five flower-arrows are his weapons. The doe-eyed gopīs catch sight of him — restless, prowling, hungry to hit his mark. (Surface picture: real deer spotting a real hunter.)
An udāharaṇa (illustrative verse) in Nāndīmukhī's voice, showing Kṛṣṇa's mādhurya — his beauty/sweetness — at work as an uddīpana-vibhāva, the excitant that sets the gopīs trembling. The whole verse runs on a śleṣa (double reading): doe-eyed gopīs pierced by love, or a herd of deer frightened by a hunter. Spoken to console Kṛṣṇa in pūrva-rāga (so Viśvanātha).

gatāhas come to, has fallen intoप्राप्त हो गई
kuraṅga-nayana-āvalī — the row of doe-eyed gopīs (or: the herd's rows of eyes); dara-pariplavatvaṁ — a state of trembling (from fear / a slight flutter); gatā — has come to.
Here the two readings split — this is the verse's śleṣa. Reading one: the line of doe-eyed gopīs has fallen into a slight, fluttering unsteadiness (dara = 'a little'). Reading two: the herd of deer, their rows of eyes, has been thrown into trembling fear (dara = 'fear'). One picture is love; the other is a hunt — and the sweetness of Kṛṣṇa is the single cause behind both.

Jīva glosses it: it means an unslakable craving for that sweetness — a relish that can never be filled.
arocaka literally names a medical loss of appetite; Jīva turns it the other way — not a distaste but a hunger for the sweetness that finds no rest.
