paśavaḥ — the cattle; adri-mūrdhni kīcakam śrutvā — having heard the whistling bamboo on the mountain-top; śyāmaṁ ambudaṁ ca dṛṣṭvā — and having seen the dark raincloud …
The verse illustrates chadma — a gopī's trickery. Lalitā's taunt opens: the cattle have heard the bamboos creaking on the mountain-top and have seen the dark raincloud. The two dark, sounding things are picked on purpose — the creak apes the flute, and 'the dark one' (śyāma) is also Kṛṣṇa's own name.
An udāharaṇa of chadma — 'trickery, pretext' — one of the Hari-vallabhā gopīs' qualities, introduced by the lead-in 'tatra chadma, yathā—' ('now, of trickery, as follows'). The illustration is Lalitā deceiving the rival Padmā.

alpa-dhiyaḥthe dull-witted ones — [being brutes, no wonder]अल्प-बुद्धि वाले (पशु)
kathaṁbut how [is it that]परन्तु तू क्यों / कैसे
tvam apiyou too api = 'even you', sharpening the jab: you, of all peopleतू भी — तू तक (यह ताना तीखा करता है)
dhig— fie! — particle of reproach; Viśvanātha lets it fall on 'you / your wits / your poise'धिक्कार है!
dhīra-adhikaṁrun all the more, though you are the composed one dhīra + adhikam adverbial: 'exceedingly, beyond what a steady one should'धीर को जितना शोभे उससे भी अधिक (हद से ज़्यादा)
alpa-dhiyaḥ [paśavaḥ] dhāvantu — let the dull-witted cattle run; [but] tvam api — you too; kathaṁ dhīra-adhikaṁ dhāvasi — how do you run even more, [you] the composed one; dhik — fie!
'Let the dim-witted cattle run after it — they're brutes,' Lalitā mocks. 'But you? Fie on you! How do you go chasing it too — running even harder — you who are supposed to be so composed?' The whole point is to shame Padmā for taking the cloud and the creak for Kṛṣṇa and his flute.

So, with that loud false comeback, Lalitā talks the fickle Padmā round and makes her swallow it. 'This one' points ahead to Lalitā, named in the last line.

gṛhaṁ prāptā ||
gṛhaṁhome —घर को
prāptāgoes with 'having reached' Jīva pairs the two: prāptā takes gṛhaṁ as its object, 'having reached home'पहुँची हुई — जीव इसका कर्म 'गृहम्' मानते हैं
gṛhaṁ prāptā — [she has] reached home.
Jīva does one small thing: he ties 'prāptā' to 'gṛhaṁ' — she has reached home. He is fixing what the participle governs, so no one reads 'reached' with the wrong word.

kīcakaṁ — kīcaka [means]; sa-śabda-vaṁśa-jāti-viśeṣam — a particular species of sounding bamboo.
First he pins down 'kīcaka': not just any bamboo, but the special kind that whistles or creaks. That sound is what the whole trick will hang on.

He backs the gloss with the dictionary: the Amara-kośa says kīcakas are the bamboos that whistle when the wind knocks them about.
Why cited: Cited from the Amara-kośa to fix the lexical sense of kīcaka — wind-whistling bamboo — the sound Padmā is being teased for mistaking for the flute.

Here Viśvanātha lays the double trick bare. Two mistakings drive the taunt: the whistling bamboo is misheard as Kṛṣṇa's flute, and the dark raincloud is mistaken for dark Kṛṣṇa. 'Let the cows run after that,' Lalitā allows — from dumb animals it is forgivable ('nāma').

he padme — O Padmā; tvam api tathaiva dhāvasi — you too run in exactly that way.
Now the sting lands: 'But you, Padmā — you run off just the same way the cows do.' Viśvanātha names the addressee so the 'you' of the verse is unmistakably Padmā.

He unpacks the curt 'dhik': the 'fie!' can land on Padmā herself, or on her supposed brains, or on her much-vaunted poise — take your pick. The 'or… or' just spreads the sarcasm across all three.

pratyāyya — [i.e.] pratītiṁ kārayitvā, having brought about [her] belief.
A last word-gloss: 'pratyāyya' just means she made Padmā believe it — she produced conviction in her. The false retort worked; Padmā was taken in.
The printed segment reads 'pratyāyyāmbudaṁ pratītiṁ kārayitvā'; 'ambudaṁ' does not construe with the gloss 'pratītiṁ kārayitvā' and looks like a stray carry-over of 'ambudaṁ' from the earlier gloss (s4). The gloss proper is of the verse-word pratyāyya = pratītiṁ kārayitvā.
