vacasi punar anyaṁand then something else on my lips punar sets mind against speech — 'in the mind one thing, in the speech, again, another'और वाणी में फिर कुछ और
katham apiin any way at all with the opening na — 'never, by any means'('न' के साथ) किसी भी प्रकार से नहीं
na — never; me cetasi — in my mind; anyat — one thing; punar — and on the other hand; vacasi — in my speech; anyaṁ — another; katham api — in any way at all.

There is never one thing in my heart and another on my lips. Not in any way at all. I do not think one thing and say something else.
An udāharaṇa — an illustrative verse in a character's voice. Viśvanātha names the speaker as Dhaniṣṭhā, a sakhī, addressing a sulking (māninī) Śrī Rādhā; it shows a friend who speaks the plain truth to her mistress rather than flattering her.
