An udāharaṇa (illustrative verse) of kṛṣṇe sakhyā āsakti-kāritā — 'the sakhī's producing in Rādhā attachment to Kṛṣṇa', the topic under which Rūpa quotes it — from Vidagdha-mādhava 2.10. The speakers are the sakhīs Lalitā and Viśākhā (so Viśvanātha below), coaxing Śrī Rādhā.

kāmaṁ nipīta-madhunā madhusūdanena ||
kāmaṁto his heart's content, at will adverbभले ही / यथेच्छ
nipīta-madhunāby the one who has drunk up her honey bahuvrīhi qualifying madhusūdanena; ni-pīta 'drunk right down', madhu 'honey / nectar'जिसने मधु को भरपूर पी लिया है — ऐसे
madhusūdanenaby the madhusūdana — the one who does no play in her lap instr., agent of kriyate; śleṣa: madhu-sūdana = 'the honey-drainer', the bee, and Madhusūdana = Kṛṣṇa — unfolded in Viśvanātha's gloss belowमधुसूदन के द्वारा
madhusūdanena — by the madhusūdana; nipīta-madhunā — who has drunk up her honey; kāmaṁ — to his fill [no play is done in her lap].
For the madhusūdana, though he has drunk her honey to his fill, does no love-play there. And here is the pun the whole verse turns on: madhusūdana is at once the bee that drains the flower's honey and Kṛṣṇa, Madhusūdana. The bee empties the campaka and gives it no dalliance — so its birth is barren; but Kṛṣṇa, Madhusūdana, does sport in Rādhā's lap, and that is the friends' unspoken point: you, Rādhā, are the fortunate one.
The verse pivots on a śleṣa in madhusūdana: read as the bee (madhu-sūdana, 'honey-drainer'), madhu is the flower's nectar (makaranda); read as Kṛṣṇa (Madhusūdana), madhu is the nectar of the lip (adharāmṛta). Viśvanātha spells out both readings at once in his final gloss.

madhusūdanena'by the madhusūdana' — [likewise two ways]'मधुसूदन' का अर्थ
bhramareṇareading one: the bee (bhramara)भ्रमर (के द्वारा)
śrī-kṛṣṇena caand reading two: Śrī Kṛṣṇa (Madhusūdana) ca — both senses held together at onceऔर श्रीकृष्ण (के द्वारा) — 'च' से दोनों अर्थ एक साथ धारण किए जाते हैं
pīta-madhunā madhusūdanena — by the madhusūdana who has drunk the honey; = pīta-makarandena bhramareṇa — [reading one] the bee who has drunk flower-nectar; = ca pītādharāmṛtena śrī-kṛṣṇena — [and reading two] Śrī Kṛṣṇa who has drunk the nectar of the lip.
Now Viśvanātha opens the pun and holds both sides at once. 'Madhusūdana who has drunk the madhu' reads two ways together. As the bee: madhu is the flower's nectar, the makaranda, and the bee has drunk it. As Kṛṣṇa, Madhusūdana: madhu is the nectar of the lip, the adharāmṛta, and he has drunk that. One word, both readings kept side by side — the flower's bee and Rādhā's Kṛṣṇa.
