sā — she; sva-prāṇāditaḥ api utkarṣeṇa — prizing it above even her own life; samyak prakāreṇa — fully; vahati — bears [the burden of love], which is 'does not abandon'; anyathā — otherwise; prāṇān tyakṣyati eva — she would surely give up her life; tarhi — for; samudre patan — falling into the sea, mahā-bhāraṁ vahan — carrying a great load, taṁ ca atyajan — and not casting it off; kaścid janaḥ jīvati — could anyone live?; iti bhāvaḥ — such is the import.
Viśvanātha: 'does not give up' means she keeps bearing that burden of love in full, holding it dearer than her own life. If she did not, she would simply die. Take the picture: a person falls into the sea carrying a huge load and will not let it go — could such a person live? No. The mapping is exact — the sea is the ocean of grief she has fallen into, the great load is the burden of love for you, refusing to let it go is her 'does not abandon', and drowning is the loss of her life. That is her daring: she cannot help but lose her life over it.
