tvaṁ nyastāsi muradviṣaḥ śaśikale pāṇau mayā gamyate
tvaṁyou [Śaśikalā] — the one who has been handed overतू (सम्बोधित सखी)
nyastā asihave already been handed over, entrusted periphrastic passive perfect of ni-√as — 'you stand placed'तू (कृष्ण के हाथ में) सौंप दी गई है, स्थापित कर दी गई है — तू ही प्रिया बनकर रह
muradviṣaḥof Kṛṣṇa, the foe of the demon Mura — into whose handमुरारि कृष्ण के (हाथ में) — षष्ठी
mayā gamyateso it is I who go [as the messenger] impersonal passive of √gam with mayā as agent — 'by me the going is done'और (दूती बनकर) जाना तो मेरे द्वारा किया जाएगा — मैं ही जाऊँगी
śaśikale — O Śaśikalā; tvaṁ — you; muradviṣaḥ pāṇau — into Kṛṣṇa's hand; nyastā asi — have been handed over; mayā — by me; gamyate — the going [as go-between] is done.
Kamalā speaks first, to her friend: "You, Śaśikalā, are the one already handed into Kṛṣṇa's hand — you are the beloved he wants. So I am the one who goes as the messenger." She casts the honored role onto her friend and claims the humble go-between's job for herself.
An udāharaṇa (illustrative verse), not a definition. The lead-in "atha sama-madhyā-dūtyam—" introduces it: it illustrates the messenger-service (dūtya) of the sama-madhyā type of confidante — one equal in standing (sama) to the heroine and of the madhyā temperament. Here two such friends each fight to be the messenger rather than the mistress.

Śaśikalā answers straight back: "No — I alone am YOUR messenger, Kamalā. Why do you talk such nonsense? Fie on you!" As Jīva spells out, her sense is "I am your dūtī, not you mine": each pushes the serving role onto herself and the honored role onto the other.

aham eva tava dūtī — I alone am your messenger; na tu — and not; tvaṁ mama dūtī — you [are] my messenger; iti arthaḥ — this is the sense.
Jīva unpacks Śaśikalā's retort: her point is "I am YOUR messenger — not you mine." The whole quarrel turns on this: each claims the lowly serving role for herself and refuses to be the one served.
