At last you've fallen into my hands, O Śambhalī! Don't work yourself into a fuss. It is Lalitā speaking (so Viśvanātha), turning on the very go-between who once ran everyone's errands.
An udāharaṇa of adhika-prakharā-dūtyam, 'the extra-bold messenger' — the type set up by the lead-in tatra adhika-prakharā-dūtyam—. The verse is spoken in a character's voice: Lalitā addressing a friend junior to her (so Viśvanātha, s1).

On the surface kākuṁ goes with karavāṇi ('let me make a plaintive plea'), and this is Viśvanātha's construal (s1). Jiva instead ties kākuṁ to mā kṛthāḥ of L1 ('don't cry out plaintively' — s2). Two constructions, left unharmonized.

sa śyāmaḥ siṁhī-patiḥ — that dark Śyāma, the lord of lionesses; tvat-kuca-kumbha-gāḥ muktāḥ — the pearls resting on the pots of your breasts; kṣapatu — let him scatter.
May that dark Śyāma, the lord of lionesses, scatter the pearls that rest on the pots of your breasts! On the plain reading it is love-play: in his fierce embrace he'll strew your pearl-necklace loose.
The line runs on a double image (śleṣa). kuca-kumbha 'breast-pots' also evokes the kumbha, the temple-boss of an elephant, where the fabled 'elephant-pearls' (gaja-muktā) are said to lodge; and siṁhī-pati 'lord of lionesses' also reads as a lion who, falling on an elephant, bursts those pearls loose. The included commentators split on the figure — Jiva calls siṁhī-pati a rūpaka (metaphor), Viśvanātha an atiśayokti (hyperbole) and even declines the pun; each is developed in their own atoms, and the two are not fused.

Jiva unpacks 'atyākulaṁ mā kṛthāḥ': don't cry out plaintively in a way that works you into a state. He binds the plaintive tone (kāku) to L1's 'don't fuss' — not, as the surface would have it, to 'karavāṇi.'

At face value, says Jiva, 'lord of lionesses' is a rūpaka — Kṛṣṇa figured outright as the lion-lord.
rūpaka: the figure where one thing is identified with another (Kṛṣṇa IS the lion-lord), not merely compared. Contrast Viśvanātha (s7), who instead reclassifies the same phrase as atiśayokti and declines the pun.

But note the wording: the poet does not just say 'lion.' By saying 'lord of lioness-like women,' he spotlights Kṛṣṇa's boldness in that kind of love-play — women fierce as lionesses, and he their master. So Jiva reads the metaphor as a display of virile daring.

Here Viśvanātha parts from the pun. He does NOT read a śleṣa — 'that proud Hari' hidden inside 'the lion.' Rather he takes 'lord of lionesses' as sheer hyperbole (atiśayokti), lighting up Kṛṣṇa's extreme youthful potency: he will overwhelm you all the more in love-play. That, he says, is the point being signalled.
The śleṣa pivot, read against Jiva. Jiva (s6-s7) kept 'siṁhī-pati' as a rūpaka spotlighting Kṛṣṇa's daring; Viśvanātha here expressly declines the pun ('proud Hari' inside 'lion') and reclassifies the phrase as atiśayokti. Two figures, two readings — left unharmonized.

The elephant/lion play. The muktā are also the 'elephant-pearls' fabled to form in an elephant's temple-boss (kumbha), matching kuca-kumbha 'breast-pots'; set against that is the lioness/lion imagery. Viśvanātha raises this only as an alternative, without settling it.

Whichever way you read it, the one thing meant is an overabundance of love-making. Viśvanātha lets the alternatives stand and names the payload they share.
