'fort-breaker = Indra', here 'the reigning lord of that spot'यमुना (कालिन्दी) के तट के अधीश्वर (कृष्ण) पर — सप्तमी, जो L2 के avāpte के साथ सति-सप्तमी बनाती है; 'purandara' यहाँ उस स्थान का अधिपति
dṛśoḥof her two eyes genitive dual, joining adhvani in L2 — the path OF the eyes, her line of sightदोनों आँखों का (मार्ग) — षष्ठी द्विवचन, L2 के adhvani से जुड़कर 'दृष्टि की राह'
kalindajā-kūla-purandare — when Kṛṣṇa, lord of the Yamunā's bank; dṛśoḥ — of her two eyes; [adhvani avāpte (L2) — had arrived on their path]
Kṛṣṇa is named the purandara of the Yamunā's bank — its 'Indra,' its sovereign crown-jewel. The sentence runs straight on into L2: when he stepped onto the path of her two eyes...
An udāharaṇa (illustrative verse) under prakaraṇa 7, Dūtī-bheda, spoken in the voice of Nāndīmukhī (so Viśvanātha, at c2.s1). The lead-in 'yathā vā—' marks it as a further illustration of the immediately preceding definition; it pictures a go-between reporting the heroine's reaction at first sight of Kṛṣṇa.

adhvani — onto the path of her eyes; avāpte — once [Kṛṣṇa] had arrived; prathamādhvanīnatām — [her eye-corner] taking on the state of a first-time traveler
The moment Kṛṣṇa steps onto the 'road' of her eyes — her line of sight — her sidelong glance starts behaving like someone walking a road for the very first time. Notice the wordplay: adhvan is the road, adhvanīna the traveler on it.
The verse's governing conceit (utprekṣā): the corner of the eye is imagined as a nervous first-time traveler on an unfamiliar road — eager to press forward, yet flinching back. adhvan (the path of the eyes) puns with adhvanīna (wayfarer).
