Look — straight ahead! Behold her, her firm breasts pressed into rounds [where the two press close].

An udāharaṇa (illustrative verse) for sakhyām āśleṣaḥ, 'the embrace in the case of a female friend (sakhī)' — the item set up by the lead-in to UN 7.35. It is spoken in a character's voice: per Viśvanātha, Rūpa-mañjarī points the scene out to Rati-mañjarī.

calat — moving; kanaka-kaṅkaṇa — golden bangles; kvaṇita — their jingle; tuṅgita — raised high; anaṅgayā — by her whose desire [was so raised].
By her — the one whose golden bangles, swinging and ringing, sent desire (anaṅga) soaring. The verse does not yet say whose desire; that is left for the commentary.
anaṅga, 'the bodiless one', is Kāma/Cupid — here 'desire'. The verse leaves whose desire unstated; the word carries the point that the mere jingle of her bangles kindled it.

A sidelong glance — cast at Kṛṣṇa (Aghamardana, the demon-crusher) just as he stepped fresh onto the roadway of her eyes, the very first instant he came into view.
aghamardana, 'the one who crushed Agha' (the serpent-demon Kṛṣṇa slew), is a name of Kṛṣṇa; the verse uses it simply to name him.

Having cast that glance, Citrā then embraced her companion, and held her long. Viśvanātha reads it just so — 'embraced by Citrā (citrayā āliṅgitā)'. Who the companion is, and why the embrace, the commentary explains.

yayā tayā'by whom [it was aroused], by her' — spelling out the relative that lies behind citrayāजिस (स्त्री) से, उस (स्त्री) से
yayā — by whom; tuṅgitaḥ — was aroused; anaṅgaḥ — desire; arthāt śrī-kṛṣṇasya — understood, Kṛṣṇa's; tayā — by her.
He unpacks the compound '…tuṅgita-anaṅgayā': 'by her by whom desire was aroused' — and, by implication, whose desire: Kṛṣṇa's. So her jingling bangles set Kṛṣṇa's desire ablaze, and 'her' is Citrā.
The move here is arthāt, 'by implication': the verse's anaṅga names no owner; Viśvanātha fills in that it is Kṛṣṇa's desire the bangles aroused.

Now the drama. Citrā is only feigning (avahitthā): inwardly, 'This rake will really maul tender me — I'd best flee.' To this Citrā, one bold, sharp-tongued friend of hers speaks up.
avahitthā is a technical term of rasa-śāstra — a passing mood (sañcāri-bhāva) of dissembling, hiding one's true feeling behind a false show. Here Citrā masks her actual response to Kṛṣṇa behind a pretence of fear.

āliṅgane kāraṇam ūhyamthe reason for the embrace is to be supplied by the reader ūhyam = 'is to be inferred'आलिंगन का कारण अनुमेय है (ऊह्यम् = अनुमान से समझ लेना चाहिए)
ataḥ — therefore; sā priya-sakhī kalyāṇī bhava iti — 'bless that dear friend'; citrayā āliṅgitā — she was embraced by Citrā; āliṅgane kāraṇam ūhyam — the cause of the embrace is to be inferred.
So the point: out of gratitude — 'bless this dear friend!' — Citrā embraces her. Viśvanātha notes the verse never states why she embraces; the reader must infer it, and this reassurance is the reason.
