goṣṭhādhīśa-sutasya sā nava-nava-preṣṭhasya yāvad-dṛśoḥ
goṣṭhādhīśa-sutasyaof the son of the lord of the cowherd village — Kṛṣṇa, Nanda's boy genitive; joins panthānaṁ in L2 — 'along his path'गोष्ठ (गोकुल) के अधिपति नन्द के पुत्र कृष्ण के — जिसके मार्ग पर
she — Rādhā, named vṛṣabhānujā in L2; the one who wentवह (राधा)
nava-nava-preṣṭhasyaof him who is dear ever-anew — fresh in love again and again second genitive, the same Kṛṣṇa; nava-nava = 'newer and newer'जो निरन्तर नित-नूतन प्रियतम है, उसी (कृष्ण) के
yāvad-dṛśoḥas far as her two eyes [could reach] yāvat + dṛś (dual); sets the limit of how far she followed — answered by tāvat in L3जहाँ तक (उसके) दो नेत्रों की पहुँच थी, उतनी दूर तक — जिसका उत्तर L3 में 'तावत्' देता है
— she (Rādhā); goṣṭhādhīśa-sutasya nava-nava-preṣṭhasya — of the ever-new-dear son of the cowherd-king; yāvad-dṛśoḥ — as far as the two eyes reach; [panthānaṁ yayau, L2 — went along his path].
She — Rādhā — set out after Kṛṣṇa. He is twice named here: the son of Vraja's lord, and the one who is dear to her newer and newer at every moment. She followed as far as her eyes could carry her. The verb 'went' waits in the next line.
An udāharaṇa of the laghu-madhyā ('the slight madhyā') group-leader, introduced by the unit's lead-in 'atha laghu-madhyā—'. Prakaraṇa 6 sorts the yūtheśvarīs (group-leader gopīs), and this verse illustrates that type.

sakhiO friend — the one addressed; taken up again as 'you' (tvayi) and 'O Candrāvalī' in L3–L4 vocative; the verse's single addressee, so this 'friend' is Candrāvalī herselfहे सखी!
vaśīkārauṣadhijñāshe who knows the very herb-charm for bringing [Kṛṣṇa] under her sway vaśīkāra-auṣadhi-jñā, bahuvrīhi describing Rādhā — the love-spell that subdues Kṛṣṇaजो (कृष्ण को) वश में करने वाली औषधि को जानती है — ऐसी (राधा)
yayaushe went — the main verb, finishing the sentence begun in L1चली गई
sakhi — O friend; vaśīkārauṣadhijñā vṛṣabhānujā — Rādhā, who knows the subduing-herb; goṣṭhādhīśa-sutasya … panthānaṁ — along Kṛṣṇa's path; yāvad-dṛśoḥ — as far as the eyes; yayau — went.
O friend, Rādhā — Vṛṣabhānu's daughter, who knows the very charm that brings Kṛṣṇa under her spell — walked down his path, following him as far as her eyes could see. Note the boast folded into her name-tag: she is the one with the winning-herb.

tāvat tvayy api kūrakṣam asya balavad-dākṣiṇyam evekṣyate
tāvateven so — to that same measure, answering the yāvat ('as far as') of L1 yāvat…tāvat correlative: for all that following, this much is what she gets(जितना पीछे-पीछे गई) उतने पर भी — इतना ही (उसे मिलता है)
tvayy apieven in your case — even toward you [Candrāvalī] locative; api = 'even', granting Candrāvalī is the comparatively favored oneतुझमें भी (यद्यपि तू तुलना में अधिक प्रिय है)
kūrakṣamthat gives only poor shelter — a courtesy affording no real refuge difficult word; read as a qualifier of dākṣiṇyam — kū- ('poor, bad') + rakṣa ('protection'); a harsher reading takes kū- as krūra, 'harsh, grudging'(कठिन शब्द) दाक्षिण्य का विशेषण — कू (हीन, बुरा) + रक्ष (रक्षा): हीन रक्षा वाला; अथवा कठोर पाठ में कू = क्रूर, अर्थात् कृपण/कठोर
asyahis — Kṛṣṇa's genitive with dākṣiṇyamइस (कृष्ण) का
balavad-dākṣiṇyamstrong dākṣiṇya — his powerful even-handed gallantry, obliging every beloved alike, not special love dākṣiṇya is technical (see note); balavat = 'strong', stressing that it is only this, in full forceप्रबल दाक्षिण्य — पूरे बल के साथ केवल यही
evaonly — merely his courtesy, and nothing beyond it eva restricts: dākṣiṇya alone shows — prema is pointedly shut outही (केवल दाक्षिण्य ही — प्रेम नहीं)
īkṣyateis seen — is all that shows passiveदेखा जाता है (कर्मवाच्य)
tāvat — even so; tvayi api — even in you; asya — his; balavad-dākṣiṇyam eva — only [his] strong courtesy; kūrakṣam — giving poor shelter; īkṣyate — is seen.
Here is the sting. Even in your case, Candrāvalī, all that shows is his strong dākṣiṇya — mere even-handed gallantry, and one that shelters you poorly at that. Not love. The little word 'eva' ('only') slams the door on anything more.
dākṣiṇya: the hero-quality of being courteous and obliging to all his beloveds equally — a general politeness, not the special prema owed to one. Calling it 'strong' (balavat) and 'only' (eva) says he gives you the full measure of the general kindness and nothing of the particular love.

kā candrāvali evi durbhagatayā dūnātmanāṁ naḥ kathā ||
kā … kathāwhat talk [is there]? — there is nothing even to say kā (fem.) agrees with kathā; frames the 'how-much-more/less' (kaimutika) questionफिर …
candrāvaliO Candrāvalī — addressed to her face vocativeहे चन्द्रावलि!
evi[emphatic — 'at all / even'; transmitted form uncertain] the received text 'evi' is difficult; it reads as an emphatic particle reinforcing the vocative address('एवि' — प्राप्त पाठ कठिन है; सम्बोधन को दृढ़ करने वाला अवधारक अव्यय जैसा पढ़ा जाता है)
durbhagatayāthrough our wretched luck — because we are ill-fated instrumental of causeदुर्भाग्य के कारण
dūnātmanāṁ naḥof us, whose hearts are scorched with grief genitive; dūna = pained, burnt; naḥ = the speaker's own groupसन्तप्त (जले-दुखे) हृदय वाले हम लोगों की
candrāvali — O Candrāvalī; durbhagatayā — by our ill fortune; dūnātmanāṁ naḥ — of us, tormented at heart; kā kathā — what talk is there?
So, Candrāvalī — if even you get only his cold courtesy, what is there left to say of us? We whose luck is wretched, whose hearts are scorched — for us there is no talk at all. This is the 'how-much-more-so' turn (kaimutika-nyāya): granting your case is the better one, ours does not even bear mentioning.
The verse works by kaimutika-nyāya, the a-fortiori 'then how much more/less': L3 grants the favored case (even in you, only courtesy), so L4 draws the sharper conclusion for the worse case (then of us, nothing). The speaker is left unnamed — the two included commentators give no gloss here, so the frame stays with the verse's own words.
