vyasmāri is a passive aorist (‘was forgotten’); Jīva unpacks it as vismārayāmāsa, ‘caused to forget,’ putting the eye in the driver’s seat.

Viśvanātha sets the scene. Her friends — the very ones who had trained her in māna — come up and ask, ‘Is your māna still intact?’ To them the blessed heroine replies. Then he glosses the words: vyāvṛtti means she turned right around and put him behind her; kramaṇa means walking off. Even while she was making that effort to leave, her feet did ‘pratyudgati’ — they went forward to stand face-to-face with him.

The source reads ‘vartanaṁ na tasya…’; I take ‘na’ as ‘nāma’ (the defining particle ‘namely’), which the gloss requires — read as a negation the clause contradicts the verse. Likely a source typo; flagged, not silently emended.

Notice she calls only the tongue ‘dagdhā’ — cursed. By reserving that epithet for the tongue, the poet hints that the tongue, of all her faculties, does her the most damage.

Viśvanātha spells out saṅghāta: the troop of feet, eyes, tongue and the rest. Their ‘bheda’ is a svabhāva-bheda — each has turned against its own nature.

She had assigned each faculty its job: the feet to walk off, the brows to frown, the tongue to speak harshly. But the moment she saw Kṛṣṇa, each did the exact opposite. Viśvanātha says it is as if her senses had been drugged mad — by some spell, or a handful of mantra-charged dust flung at her, or a magic eye-salve. And the poet conveys all this through three figures of speech: vibhāvanā, viśeṣokti, and virodha.
The three alaṅkāras: vibhāvanā = an effect appearing without its normal cause; viśeṣokti = the cause present yet the expected effect missing; virodha = an apparent contradiction. Her faculties acting against their own nature, with no visible cause, is what draws these figures out. Source reads ‘virodher’; expected ‘virodhaiḥ’ (instr. pl., ‘by the figures…’) — likely a source typo.
