citramcitra (the 'picture' ornament) is defined as — nominative subject; the bhūṣaṇa being named'चित्र' नामक भूषण — जिसका अब लक्षण कहा जा रहा है
tunow, turning to the next ornamentपरन्तु (पूर्व भूषण से भेद दिखाने के लिए)
ākārāṇāmof forms, of figures [that are depicted] objective genitive governed by vilokanamआकारों का — अर्थात् जो रूप-आकृतियाँ आँखों के सामने रखी जाएँ, उनका
vilokanam[is] the viewing, the gazing-uponदेखना, अवलोकन
citram tu — now, the ornament citra; ākārāṇām — of [depicted] forms and figures; vilokanam — [is] the beholding of them.
Now the next ornament: citra, the 'picture.' Citra is defined simply as the viewing of forms — a scene in which a character gazes upon figures. Rūpa states it in the barest terms: citra is 'the beholding of forms.' The verse that follows shows what this means in practice — a character looking at a painting of the Māthura deeds.
citra ('picture, painting') is one of the bhūṣaṇas, the ornaments of a play catalogued in this vibhāga. ākāra here is 'form, figure' — the figures set before the eye; in the illustration that follows (148) the figures are those of a painted picture (citra-likhita) depicting the Māthura-caritra, so this ornament is a scene of beholding such a painting.
citram tu ākārāṇām vilokanam [iti]
Now, turning to the next ornament: citra, the 'picture,' is the viewing of forms — a scene in which a character gazes upon figures set before the eye.
Rūpa's defining kārikā (lakṣaṇa) of the bhūṣaṇa citra, the ornament of 'beholding forms,' set within the citram subsection of this vibhāga.
