atra bhāvi nirātaṅka-māro me ramaṇaṁ mama |
atrahere — at this bowerयहाँ, इस स्थान पर
bhāviwill come to be — is about to happen bhāvin, future participle, neuter, agreeing with ramaṇaṁहोने वाला है — भविष्यत् में अवश्य होगा (नपुंसकलिङ्ग, रमण के साथ अन्वय)
nirātaṅka-māraḥits love-passion (māra) now free of every fear (nir-ātaṅka) masc., in loose apposition to the delight — the love-god at last unafraidअब भयरहित हुआ कामदेव (जो निःशंक होकर बाण चला सकेगा)
me ... mamamine — the 'my' said twice, for feeling me and mama both = 'my'मेरा ही — दोनों पद 'मेरा' अर्थ में
ramaṇaṁmy love-delight — the union longed forरमण — प्रिया के साथ का सुखविलास
atra — here; me mama ramaṇaṁ — this love-delight of mine; nirātaṅka-māraḥ — its passion free at last of fear; bhāvi — will come to be.
Here at this bower my love-delight will unfold at last — its passion free now of every fear.
An udāharaṇa of bhrānti, the ornament (bhūṣaṇa) just defined at kārikā 142 (nc.8.3) as viparyaya-jñāna — an erroneous conviction seized from a mere cue (prasaṅga). Kṛṣṇa speaks it in the ninth act (Lalita-Mādhava 9.58): catching sight of a woman at the bower whom he cannot place, his mind settles on the certainty that she is his beloved of Dvārakā, and the next line hangs his whole hope on that identification.

duratyante kuśasthalyā yadi darbhāṅgabhūr iyam
duratyantein the impassable, hard-to-cross [city] locative; but kuśasthalyā beside it reads as gen./instr., so the fit is loose — the grass-pun, not the syntax, binds the lineजिसका पार पाना कठिन है (समुद्र से घिरी होने के कारण अलंघ्य) ऐसे में
kuśasthalyāof Kuśasthalī — Dvārakā, the sea-girt city (hence 'impassable'), and, split kuśa-sthalī, a bed of kuśa grassकुशस्थली की — अर्थात् द्वारका नगरी की (श्लेष से 'कुश-स्थली', कुश-घास की सेज भी)
yadiif only — the wavering 'if' that tips the conviction into a bhrāntiयदि
darbhāṅgabhūḥis the darbha-born one — she grown from a body of darbha (kuśa) grass aṅga-bhū = 'body-born', a child; darbha is another name for kuśa grassदर्भ (कुश-घास) से अङ्ग-भू अर्थात् उससे उत्पन्न (शरीर से जनी, कन्या); दर्भ भी कुश का ही दूसरा नाम
iyamthis woman before meयह (सामने खड़ी स्त्री)
yadi — if only; iyam — this woman before me; duratyante kuśasthalyā — of impassable, sea-girt Kuśasthalī (Dvārakā); darbhāṅgabhūḥ — is the darbha-born one.
— if only this woman before me is the darbha-born daughter of impassable, sea-girt Kuśasthalī, that is, Dvārakā. On that one 'if' his whole delight hangs.
A grass-śleṣa runs through the line: kuśasthalī is at once Dvārakā, the sea-girt city (so duratyanta, 'impassable'), and, split kuśa-sthalī, a bed of kuśa grass; darbha in darbhāṅgabhūḥ is yet another name for that same grass. These chiming grass-words are the very prasaṅga — the incidental cue — from which, as kārikā 142 says, the mistaken conviction (bhrānti) takes hold: on their strength Kṛṣṇa fixes his certainty that the woman is his beloved of Dvārakā.
yadi iyam duratyante kuśasthalyā darbhāṅgabhūḥ [bhavet], [tarhi] atra me mama ramaṇaṁ nirātaṅka-māraṁ bhāvi.
If only this woman before me is the darbha-born daughter of impassable, sea-girt Kuśasthalī — Dvārakā — then here, at this bower, my love-delight will unfold at last, its passion now free of every fear. On that one wavering 'if' Kṛṣṇa hangs his whole hope.
