An udāharaṇa of karaṇa, 'the commencement of the matter at hand' (prastutārtha-samārambha), the sandhy-aṅga defined in the preceding kārikā (nc.6.23, kārikā 61). Here Kundalatā, coaxing Rādhā into the bower to meet Kṛṣṇa, sets the play's intended object — their union — into motion. From the Kundalatā (2.24). The whole verse runs as an extended battle-metaphor: the tryst is figured as Cupid's war.
