Hindi commentary Govind Prasad Sharma · śrīdhara-mukhollāsinī
320. yo'ci. yaḥ is in the nominative (prathamā), aci is in the locative (saptamī); this sūtra has two words. From 'yuṣmad-asmador anādeśe' the words yuṣmad-asmadoḥ and anādeśe, and from 'aṣṭana ā vibhaktau' the word vibhaktau, are carried over (anuvṛtti).
When a non-substituted (anādeśa) case-ending beginning with a vowel (ajādi) follows, the substitute y (yakāra) occurs for the words yuṣmad and asmad.
A case-ending in place of which no substitute has occurred is called an anādeśa (non-substituted) case-ending. By the operation of 'alo'ntyasya', the y (yakāra) occurs in place of the final letter d (dakāra).
tvayā. From the word yuṣmad, in the instrumental singular, ṭā; upon the elision of the anubandha it becomes yuṣmad + ā. By 'tvamāv ekavacane', in place of the maparyanta yuṣm the substitute tva occurs, giving tva + ad + ā. In tva + ad the para-rūpa takes place, giving tvad + ā. In place of the d (dakāra), by 'yo'ci' the substitute y occurs, giving tvay + ā; upon the joining of the letters (varṇa-sammelana), tvayā is established.
मया।mayā. From the word asmad, in the instrumental singular, ṭā; upon the elision of the anubandha, asmad + ā
