३०३- वेरपृक्तस्य।303. ver apṛktasya.वेः षष्ठ्यन्तम्, अपृक्तस्य षष्ठ्यन्तं, द्विपदमिदं सूत्रम्।veḥ is in the genitive (ṣaṣṭhī), apṛktasya is in the genitive; this sūtra has two words.लोपो व्योर्वलि से लोपः की अनुवृत्ति आती है।The word lopaḥ is carried over (anuvṛtti) from ‘lopo vyor vali’.
अपृक्तसंज्ञक वकार का लोप होता है।The va-kāra designated apṛkta is elided.
स्मरण रहे कि एक अल् प्रत्यय अपृक्तसंज्ञक होता है।It should be remembered that a suffix consisting of a single letter (al) is designated apṛkta.यदि व् एक अल् के रूप में रह जाय तो उसका लोप हो जाता है अर्थात् प्रत्ययों में केवल एक वकार रह नहीं पाता है।If a v remains as a single letter (al), it is elided — that is, a lone va-kāra cannot remain in the suffixes.
