अब क्रमप्राप्त अजन्तनपुंसकलिङ्गी शब्दों का विवेचन प्रारम्भ करते हैं।Now, in due sequence, the exposition of the vowel-ending (ajanta) neuter (napuṁsakaliṅga) words is begun.ये शब्द भी अकारान्तादि के क्रम से हैं।These words too follow the order of a-ending and the rest.नपुंसकलिङ्ग में पुल्लिङ्ग से ज्यादा अन्तर नहीं होता।In the neuter there is not much difference from the masculine (pulliṅga).प्रथमा में जैसे रूप बनते हैं वैसे ही द्वितीया विभक्ति में भी बनेंगे।As the forms are made in the nominative (prathamā), so too they will be made in the accusative (dvitīyā) case.तृतीया से सप्तमी तक लगभग पुल्लिङ्ग के जैसे रूप होते हैं।From the instrumental (tṛtīyā) to the locative (saptamī) the forms are almost like those of the masculine.जो विशेषता है, उसे इस प्रकरण में बताया जा रहा है।Whatever the distinctive feature is, it is being explained in this section.
२३५- नपुंसकाच्च।235 — napuṁsakācca.नपुंसकात् पञ्चम्यन्तं, च अव्ययपदं, द्विपदमिदं सूत्रम्।napuṁsakāt is in the ablative (pañcamī) case, ca is an indeclinable (avyaya) word; this sūtra has two words.इस सूत्र में औडः आपः से औडः की और जशः शी से शी की अनुवृत्ति आती है।In this sūtra the anuvṛtti of auḍaḥ comes from ‘auḍaḥ āpaḥ’ and of śī from ‘jaśaḥ śī’.
नपुंसक अङ्ग से परे औ विभक्ति के स्थान में शी आदेश होता है।After a neuter (napuṁsaka) aṅga, in place of the vibhakti au the substitute śī occurs.
केवल नपुंसकलिङ्ग में ही यह सूत्र लगता है।This sūtra applies only in the neuter (napuṁsakaliṅga).
