९०- समः सुटि।90. samaḥ suṭi.समः षष्ठ्यन्तं, सुटि सप्तम्यन्तं, द्विपदमिदं सूत्रम्।samaḥ is in the genitive (ṣaṣṭhī), suṭi is in the locative (saptamī); this sūtra has two words.मतुवसो रु सम्बुद्धौ छन्दसि से रुः की अनुवृत्ति आती है।The word ruḥ is carried over (anuvṛtti) from matuvaso ru sambuddhau chandasi.
सुट् के परे होने पर सम् के मकार के स्थान पर रु आदेश होता है।When suṭ follows, the substitute ru takes the place of the makāra of sam.
यह आदेश है अतः सम् के मकार को हटाकर बैठता है, यदि आगे सुट् आगमका सकार परे हो तो।Since this is a substitute (ādeśa), it removes the makāra of sam and takes its place, that is, when the sakāra of the suṭ augment follows.
