५४- प्रादयः।54. prādayaḥ.प्रः आदिर्येषां ते प्रादयः, बहुव्रीहिः।praḥ ādir yeṣāṁ te prādayaḥ — those of which pra is the first are the prādayaḥ; it is a bahuvrīhi.चादयोऽसत्त्वे से असत्त्वे की अनुवृत्ति एवं प्राग्रीश्वरान्निपाताः से निपाताः का अधिकार चल रहा है।From cādayo’sattve the anuvṛtti of asattve, and from prāg rīśvarān nipātāḥ the adhikāra of nipātāḥ, is running on.
द्रव्य अर्थ न होने पर प्र आदि भी निपातसंज्ञक होते हैं।When the meaning is not a substance (dravya), pra and the rest too take the nipāta-saṁjñā.
प्रादि उपसर्गाः क्रियायोगे सूत्र में बताये जा चुके हैं।The prādi have already been spoken of as upasargas in the sūtra upasargāḥ kriyāyoge.प्रादि की निपातसंज्ञा होने से अव्ययसंज्ञा भी हो जायेगी और अव्यय के बाद सुप् का लुक् हो सकेगा।Since the prādi take the nipāta-saṁjñā, they will also take the avyaya-saṁjñā, and after an avyaya the luk of the sup will be able to occur.
