२५- अदेङ् गुणः।25 – adeṅ guṇaḥ.अत् च एङ् च अदेङ्, अदेङ् प्रथमान्तं, गुणः प्रथमान्तं, द्विपदमिदं सूत्रम्।at and eṅ make adeṅ; adeṅ is in the nominative (prathamā), guṇaḥ is in the nominative; this sūtra has two words.
ह्रस्व अकार और एङ् ये गुणसंज्ञक होते हैं।The short akāra and eṅ take the name guṇa (guṇa-saṁjñā).
अर्थात् अ, ए, ओ इन वर्णों की गुणसंज्ञा होती है।That is, the letters a, e, o receive the guṇa-saṁjñā.
