६- उच्चैरुदात्तः।6. uccairudāttaḥ.उच्चैः अव्ययपदम्, उदात्तः प्रथमान्तं द्विपदमिदं सूत्रम्।uccaiḥ is an indeclinable word (avyaya-pada), udāttaḥ is in the nominative (prathamānta); this sūtra has two words.इस सूत्र में ऊकालोऽङ्गस्वदीर्घप्लुतः से अच् की अनुवृत्ति आती है।In this sūtra, ac is carried over (anuvṛtti) from ūkālo'ṅgasvadīrghaplutaḥ.
कण्ठ, तालु आदि स्थानों के ऊपरी भाग से उच्चारित अच् की उदात्तसंज्ञा होती है।An ac uttered from the upper part of places such as the throat (kaṇṭha) and the palate (tālu) takes the name udātta (udātta-saṁjñā).
