taṭastheṣu bhakty-ālambaneṣuin the taṭastha supports — that is, in the bhakti-ālambanas (the devotee-supports of the mood) Viśvanātha equates the mūla's taṭastha with the bhakti-ālambanas: supports marginal to that particular rasaतटस्थ अर्थात् भक्ति के आलम्बनों में — विश्वनाथ मूल के 'तटस्थ' को भक्ति-आलम्बन ठहराते हैं, जो उस विशेष रस के किनारे के आधार हैं

aṣṭāv iti — 'eight' means; śānta ekaḥ — śānta is one; hāsyādayaś ca sapta — and hāsya and the rest are seven; ity aṣṭau rasāḥ — so eight rasas; yadi — if; kṛṣṇādibhir vibhāvādyaiḥ — by Kṛṣṇa and the rest as the vibhāvas and the other components; taṭastheṣu bhakty-ālambaneṣu — in the taṭastha supports, i.e. the bhakti-ālambanas; prākaṭyaṁ bibhrati — they take on manifestation; tadāpi — then even so; anurasā jñeyāḥ — they are to be known as anurasa.
Viśvanātha completes the verse's suspended sentence. Take the eight rasas — śānta plus the seven led by hāsya. Suppose they come to light in a taṭastha support, which he specifies is a bhakti-ālambana, a devotee-support that stands only at the margin of that mood, and suppose they do so with Kṛṣṇa and the rest reduced to serving as the vibhāvas and the other components. Then, even so — even though a real-looking mood does appear — they are to be recognized not as full rasa but as anurasa, a trailing near-miss of rasa.
anurasa ('after-rasa, secondary rasa') is one of the three kinds of rasābhāsa treated in this laharī, alongside uparasa and aparasa. It names a mood that all but reaches rasa yet falls short — here because Kṛṣṇa, who should be the true object (viṣaya-ālambana) of the mood, has been demoted to a mere excitant (vibhāva) lodged in a marginal support.
