L1definition
prakaṭa-prārthanādiḥ syāt sambhogādes tu dhṛṣṭatā ||
prakaṭa-prārthanādiḥopenly begging out loud — an undisguised request, and the like prakaṭa 'overt, undisguised' + prārthana 'entreaty' + ādi 'and such'; nominative — the conduct being definedखुली, बिना छिपाव की प्रार्थना (याचना) आदि — जिस आचरण की यहाँ परिभाषा दी जा रही है
syātis what it comes to optative of √as — 'would be, counts as'होती है, इसी की गिनती में आती है
sambhogādes tubut when what is asked for is sexual union and the like genitive sambhoga-ādeḥ = the object of the request; tu sets it off against the milder quality just treatedपरन्तु जब याचना का विषय सम्भोग आदि हो — 'तु' इसे अभी-अभी कहे गए कोमल भाव से अलग करके दिखाता है
sambhogādeḥ — for union and the like; prakaṭa-prārthanādiḥ — an open, out-loud request and so on; syāt — is what would count as; dhṛṣṭatā — dhṛṣṭatā, brazenness.
Now dhṛṣṭatā, brazenness. When the thing asked for is sexual union and the like, and it is asked for openly — begged out loud, with none of the coyness one expects — that is dhṛṣṭatā. The 'but' sets it apart from the more restrained quality just defined.
dhṛṣṭatā, literally boldness or impudence; in this rasābhāsa wave it is a species of misfiring rasa — mādhurya gone brazen, restraint dropped where it is called for.

O beloved — look, here is this bower, lovely as Kailāsa itself. And I am beautiful, in the first bloom of youth.
An udāharaṇa of dhṛṣṭatā (4.9.30) — the gopī, dropping all bashfulness, lays out the setting and her own charms to proposition Govinda outright.

kiṁ vā vācyam ataḥ paramso what more need be said past this point? rhetorical — kiṁ vā 'what else', ataḥ param 'beyond this'; the unspoken conclusion is the invitation to uniteफिर इससे आगे कहने को रह ही क्या जाता है?
govinda — O Govinda; tvaṁ vidagdhaḥ asi — you are a connoisseur of love; ataḥ param kiṁ vā vācyam — beyond this, what is there to say?
And you, Govinda, are a vidagdha — you know love's every art. So what is left to spell out? Everything is in place: the private bower, my youth and beauty, your own skill. She leaves unsaid only the invitation itself — and that bald forwardness is the dhṛṣṭatā this verse illustrates.
