L1example
vijayinam ajitaḥ vilokya raṅga-
vijayinamthe victorious one (Kṛṣṇa), whom they gaze upon accusative, object of vilokya; Viśvanātha reads vijayinam as Śrī Kṛṣṇaविजय पाने वाले (कृष्ण) को — विलोकन का कर्म
ajitaḥthe unvanquished one — the one who looks on nominative (subject of vilokya), NOT accusative — so it cannot be an epithet of vijayinam (Kṛṣṇa, acc.); Viśvanātha does not stop to gloss it, so we leave it genericअजित (अपराजित) जन — देखने वाले, कर्ता (कर्म नहीं, इसलिए विजयी का विशेषण नहीं)
vilokyaon seeing him gerund; the seeing that triggers both responsesदेखकर — यही देखना दोनों प्रतिक्रियाओं का कारण बनता है
raṅga-of the arena— (the compound runs on into the next line)रंगभूमि (अखाड़े) का — (समास अगली पंक्ति तक चलता है)
ajitaḥ — the unvanquished one; vijayinam — the victor (Kṛṣṇa); vilokya — on seeing him; raṅga- — of the arena… [compound continuing]
An illustrative verse. On the arena-ground, all eyes are on Kṛṣṇa the victor. The verse says ajitaḥ, 'the unvanquished one who looks on' — a nominative, so grammatically the onlooker, not Kṛṣṇa (who is the accusative object seen). Viśvanātha does not pause on the word, so we keep it generic.
An udāharaṇa for the lead-in āśraya-bhinnatve — 'when the locus differs.' It illustrates this laharī's theme of maitrī-vaira-sthiti: vīra (the heroic mood) and bhayānaka (the fearful mood) stand together in one scene without clashing, because they rest in different vessels — the friends feel the one, the enemies the other.

raṅga-sthala-bhuvi — on the ground of the wrestling arena; sambhṛta-sāṁyugīna-līlam — [Kṛṣṇa] by whom battle-play was fully carried through
On the ground of the wrestling arena, where Kṛṣṇa had fully carried through his battle-play. This still describes the Kṛṣṇa they are all looking at.

vapūṁṣitheir bodies nominative plural, subject of bhejuḥशरीर — भजुः क्रिया का कर्ता (बहुवचन)
bhejuḥcame to bear / took on the one verb serves both L3–L4 — the friends' bodies here, the foes' bodies in L4धारण कर गए — यही एक क्रिया L3–L4 दोनों में चलती है (यहाँ मित्रों के शरीर, आगे शत्रुओं के)

The bodies of the cowherd boys, Kṛṣṇa's own playmates, took on something. The next line says what.

pulaka-kulaṁ dviṣatāṁ tu kālimānam ||
pulaka-kulaṁa rush of bristling hair — the thrill of joy accusative, what the friends' bodies took on; the bodily sign of vīra/joyरोमांच-समूह को — जो मित्रों के शरीरों ने धारण किया; वीर और हर्ष का देह-चिह्न
dviṣatāṁbut of the enemies genitive; switches the scene to the opposing sideपरन्तु शत्रुओं के — दृश्य विरोधी पक्ष की ओर मुड़ता है
kālimānamblackness — a dark pallor of fear accusative; bhejuḥ from L3 carries over — the foes' bodies took on thisकालिमा (श्यामता) को — L3 का 'भजुः' यहाँ जुड़ता है, शत्रुओं के शरीरों ने इसे धारण किया
pulaka-kulaṁ — a rush of thrilled bristling hair [the friends' bodies bore]; dviṣatāṁ tu — but of the enemies; kālimānam — blackness [their bodies bore]
The friends' bodies broke out in a thrill of bristling hair — joy. But the enemies' bodies went dark — a pallor of fear. Same sight, two opposite reactions: the friends thrill with the heroic mood, the foes blacken with dread.

Here the verse shows how vīra and bhayānaka stand together. They do not clash, because their loci differ — vīra in the friends, bhayānaka in the enemies. That is the point of āśraya-bhinnatve.

Viśvanātha unpacks it. 'sambhṛtā' just means 'fully sustained' — so Kṛṣṇa is the one by whom the battle-play was carried through. That victorious one is Śrī Kṛṣṇa. On seeing him, the boys' bodies broke out in horripilation.
