tatra vinaśane kurukṣetre stūyamānam api prekṣya “īśvaro’yam” iti sambhrama-rahitā satī aṅkam abhi aṅke kṛṣṇaṁ nyavīviśāt niveśayāmāsa ||
tatra vinaśane kurukṣetre"there" means at Vinaśana, that is, on the field of Kurukṣetra two glosses stacked on one word: he gives the local name first, then the name everyone knowsवहाँ अर्थात् विनशन में, अर्थात् कुरुक्षेत्र में — एक ही शब्द पर दो व्याख्याएँ एक के ऊपर एक: पहले स्थानीय नाम, फिर वह नाम जिसे सब जानते हैं
stūyamānam api prekṣyaeven though she saw him being praised — the api is the hinge: praise like that should have produced awe, and it did not api concessive, added by Viśvanātha; it is not in the verse's words but is how he reads the sequenceजिसकी स्तुति हो रही थी, ऐसे उनको देखकर भी — 'अपि' विश्वनाथ का जोड़ा हुआ है; श्लोक के शब्दों में यह नहीं है, पर वे क्रम को इसी रूप में पढ़ते हैं
“īśvaro’yam” iti sambhrama-rahitāfree of the fluster that says "this one is the Lord" — he names the very thought that the awe would have carried iti marks the quoted thought; sambhrama-rahitā, "she in whom sambhrama is absent", glosses the verse's mukta-sambhramā'यह तो ईश्वर हैं' — ऐसे सम्भ्रम से रहित; 'इति' उस विचार को उद्धृत करता है, और 'सम्भ्रम-रहिता' श्लोक के मुक्त-सम्भ्रमा की व्याख्या है
satībeing in that state — she is like that while she does what follows the present participle of √as, tying her awe-free condition to the main verbहोती हुई — उसकी सम्भ्रम-रहित दशा को मुख्य क्रिया से जोड़ देता है
aṅkam abhi aṅke"toward the lap" means simply "in her lap" he replaces abhi + accusative with a plain locative'अङ्कम् अभि' अर्थात् 'अङ्के' — गोद में
kṛṣṇaṁ nyavīviśāt niveśayāmāsa"she made Kṛṣṇa enter" means she seated him, she put him there the verse's causative aorist replaced by the periphrastic causative perfect niveśayām āsa — same causative sense, an easier formकृष्ण को 'न्यविविशात्' अर्थात् बैठा लिया — कठिन रूप के स्थान पर सहज रूप, प्रेरणा का अर्थ वही बना रहता है
tatra — at Vinaśana, on the field of Kurukṣetra; stūyamānam api prekṣya — even seeing him being praised; “īśvaro’yam” iti sambhrama-rahitā satī — being free of the awe that says "this one is the Lord"; aṅke — in her lap; kṛṣṇaṁ niveśayāmāsa — she seated Kṛṣṇa
Viśvanātha reads it straight through. "There" is Vinaśana, the field of Kurukṣetra. Even seeing him hymned by the sages, no awe rose in her — no thought of "this one is the Lord". In that state she seated Kṛṣṇa in her lap.
vinaśana, "the disappearing", is the old name for the place where the Sarasvatī sinks into the sands; it is used here simply as a name for Kurukṣetra. Note also what Viśvanātha adds and what he does not: he supplies the content of the awe ("this one is the Lord") and the concessive api, but he leaves prekṣya as plain seeing — he does not take it as hearsay.
