Viśvanātha reads the cloud as Kṛṣṇa's horn: the horn sounds sweetly, and it is a cloud of the svātī season. When that horn rains down the rasa of joy, Śrīdāmā's body — which is exactly what people call a sīpa, an oyster-shell — brings forth a pearl-necklace, and the pearls are his beads of sweat. Why does the image work? Because everyone knows that if a svātī raindrop falls into an oyster, it becomes a pearl.
sīpa is the everyday vernacular word for śukti, the oyster-shell; Viśvanātha reaches for the spoken word so the picture lands at once. Note also that he attaches the cloud-description to Kṛṣṇa's horn (śṛṅga), a word the verse itself does not use.
