paryaṅke mahati surāri-hantur aṅke
paryaṅkeon a couch — this is where the scene is set locative of place, held together with mahatiपलंग पर — सप्तमी, स्थान बताती है
mahatiand it is a big, grand one agrees with paryaṅke; the grandeur belongs to the setting, not to Arjunaजो बड़ा और भव्य है — 'पर्यङ्के' का विशेषण; यह महत्ता बैठने के स्थान की है
surāri-hantuḥof him who kills the enemies of the gods — Kṛṣṇa named by his warrior power sura-ari = 'enemies of the gods'; genitive going with aṅkeजिसने सुरों के शत्रुओं का नाश किया, उस कृष्ण की — षष्ठी, 'अङ्के' के साथ जुड़ती है
aṅkeon his lap — that is where the friend is sitting second locative, continuing paryaṅke: the couch, and on it the lapगोद में — दूसरी सप्तमी; पलंग पर, और उस पर गोद में
paryaṅke mahati — on a great couch; surāri-hantuḥ — of him who kills the enemies of the gods; aṅke — on his lap.
On a great couch. And on the lap of the one who kills the enemies of the gods.
This is the udāharaṇa announced by the lead-in 'na katamenāpi / sakhyaṁ, yathā—': an illustration of sakhya, friendship. Note which epithet Rūpa picks — surāri-hantṛ, the slayer of the gods' foes. The greatness is stated first, so that the friend's ease in the next line lands against it.

niḥśaṅka-praṇaya-nisṛṣṭa-pūrva-kāyaḥ |
niḥśaṅka-praṇaya-nisṛṣṭa-pūrva-kāyaḥhe has let his upper body drop right onto that lap, because his love has no hesitation in it bahuvrīhi describing gāṇḍīvī in L4: niḥśaṅka 'with no misgiving, no holding back', praṇaya 'love that presumes', nisṛṣṭa 'given over, let go', pūrva-kāya 'the front/upper half of the body'जिसने बिना किसी शंका-संकोच के, प्रणय के वश होकर अपने शरीर का ऊपरी भाग वहीं छोड़ रखा है — बहुव्रीहि, आगे 'गाण्डीवी' का विशेषण
niḥśaṅka-praṇaya-nisṛṣṭa-pūrva-kāyaḥ — whose upper body is given over out of love that has no hesitation.
He has let his upper body sink onto that lap. No hesitation at all — that is what praṇaya does.
praṇaya here is the love that has dropped fear and formality; niḥśaṅka spells out what that looks like in the body — he does not hold himself back an inch.

unmīlan-nava-narma-karmaṭho’yaṁ
unmīlan-nava-narma-karmaṭhaḥhe is expert at fresh joking that keeps opening out, one quip after another unmīlat 'budding, opening up' (pres. participle) qualifies nava-narma; karmaṭha 'adept at, tireless at' takes the joking as its objectजो नित नए खिलते हुए हँसी-ठिठोली के विनोद में निपुण और अथक है — 'उन्मीलत्' (खिलता हुआ) 'नव-नर्म' का विशेषण, और 'कर्मठ' उस विनोद को अपना विषय बनाता है
ayaṁthis one, right here in front of us deictic — the verse points at him rather than naming him yet; the name comes only in L4यह — अङ्गुलि से दिखाने जैसा संकेत; श्लोक अभी नाम नहीं लेता, केवल इशारा करता है
ayaṁ — this one; unmīlan-nava-narma-karmaṭhaḥ — adept at ever-fresh joking that keeps opening out.
He is expert at joking. And the jokes keep coming fresh, one blossoming after another. This one, here.
narma is the playful teasing talk that belongs to sakhya; nava and unmīlat together say it never goes stale.
'नर्म' वही विनोदपूर्ण छेड़छाड़ भरी बात है जो सख्य की अपनी है; और 'नव' तथा 'उन्मीलत्' दोनों मिलकर कहते हैं कि वह कभी बासी नहीं पड़ती।

gāṇḍīvī smita-vadanāmbujo vyarājīt ||
gāṇḍīvīthe man who carries the Gāṇḍīva bow — Arjuna the subject at last; he is named by his bow, i.e. as a warriorगाण्डीव धनुष धारण करने वाला अर्जुन — अब जाकर कर्ता का नाम आया, और वह भी धनुष के नाते, अर्थात् योद्धा के रूप में
smita-vadanāmbujaḥwith his lotus face smiling bahuvrīhi: vadana-ambuja 'face-lotus', with smita 'a smile' on itजिसके मुखकमल पर मन्द मुसकान है — बहुव्रीहि; 'वदन-अम्बुज' अर्थात् मुख रूपी कमल, उस पर 'स्मित'
vyarājītshone — that is the one finite verb the whole verse has been waiting for aorist of vi-rāj; everything before it has been describing the subject of this verbसुशोभित हुआ — यही मुख्य क्रिया है; इससे पहले का सारा वर्णन इसी के कर्ता का है
gāṇḍīvī — the bearer of the Gāṇḍīva bow; smita-vadanāmbujaḥ — his lotus face smiling; vyarājīt — shone.
The bearer of Gāṇḍīva shone. His lotus face was smiling.
Both men are named by their power — surāri-hantṛ in L1, gāṇḍīvī here. Two warriors; and the whole weight of that is set aside, one lying on the other's lap and smiling. That contrast is the friendship the verse is illustrating.
