L1definition
viyogo labdha-saṅgena vicchedo danuja-dviṣā ||
viyogaḥseparation is — the first term being defined (nom.)
labdha-saṅgenafrom one with whom union had already been gained instr.; labdha 'obtained' + saṅga 'company' — the mark that sets viyoga apartजिसका संग पहले प्राप्त हो चुका हो, उससे बिछुड़ने के कारण — यही वियोग का लक्षण है
vicchedaḥa rupture (viccheda) is — the second term being defined (nom.)
danuja-dviṣāfrom Kṛṣṇa, the hater of the demons instr.; danuja 'demon' + dviṣ 'hater/foe' — the mark that sets viccheda apartदानवों के शत्रु (कृष्ण) से बिछुड़ने के कारण — यही विच्छेद का लक्षण है
viyogaḥ — separation [is]; labdha-saṅgena — from one previously united with; vicchedaḥ — a rupture [is]; danuja-dviṣā — from Kṛṣṇa, foe of the demons.
Now, separation. Two words are set side by side. Viyoga is separation from someone with whom you had already been united. Viccheda is the rupture of being cut off from Kṛṣṇa himself, the enemy of the demons.
The lead-in is 'atha viyogaḥ—', 'now, separation.' The verse contrasts viyoga (parting from one previously enjoyed) with viccheda (parting specifically from Kṛṣṇa).

This begins the udāharaṇa (illustrative verse, lead-in 'yathā—') for the viyoga just defined in 3.2.114 — separation from Kṛṣṇa, told through Uddhava when Kṛṣṇa marched on Bāṇāsura's Śoṇitapura.

niruddhavaḥ abhūtbecame 'niruddhava' — joyless, drained śleṣa on his own name: nir-uddhava = 'bereft of festivity/joy' and, in sound, 'no longer Uddhava'निरुद्धव हो गया — आनन्द-उत्सव से रहित, और ध्वनि में मानो अब 'उद्धव' ही न रहा
viraha-niruddha-manā — his mind choked by separation; niruddhavaḥ abhūt — he became 'niruddhava'.
his mind choked by the separation, he became niruddhava. The word is a pun. Uddhava's own name carries the sense of festivity, a joyous welling-up; nir-uddhava is one stripped of it — joyless — and the sound plays on his becoming, as it were, no longer Uddhava at all.
The verse's headline turn is this śleṣa. uddhava = 'festivity, a joyous rising'; nir-uddhava = 'without it'. Viśvanātha glosses the pun as nirutsāha, 'devoid of all zeal'.

kṣataja-puram — the blood-city; śoṇita-puram — [i.e.] Śoṇitapura.

Jīva: 'city of blood' (kṣataja-pura) means Śoṇitapura — Bāṇāsura's capital. Both names say the same thing: kṣata-ja, 'born of a wound', is blood, and śoṇita is blood too.

vidhutā kampitā yato vidhurā duḥkhitā ca tādṛśī buddhir yasya saḥ, “vidhura-vidhuta” iti vā pāṭhaḥ |
yato vidhurā duḥkhitā caand because of that shaking, vidhurā means 'distressed' yataḥ 'whence', drawing the second sense as a consequence of the firstजिस कारण 'विधुर' अर्थात् दुःखित भी
tādṛśī buddhir yasya saḥhe whose mind is of that kind spells out the bahuvrīhi vidhūta-vidhura-buddhiḥऐसी बुद्धि जिसकी हो, वह (यही बहुव्रीहि विधूत-विधुर-बुद्धिः का विवरण है)
"vidhura-vidhuta" iti vā pāṭhaḥor else the reading is 'vidhura-vidhuta' (the two words reversed) vā pāṭhaḥ = an alternative textual reading, not a rival interpretationअथवा 'विधुर-विधुत' — ऐसा पाठ भी है
vidhutā — shaken; yataḥ vidhurā duḥkhitā ca — whence also distressed; tādṛśī buddhiḥ yasya saḥ — he whose mind is such; vā — or; "vidhura-vidhuta" iti pāṭhaḥ — the reading 'vidhura-vidhuta'.
Jīva unpacks the compound. Vidhutā means 'trembling, shaken', and because the mind is shaken it is also vidhurā, 'distressed'. So the phrase names the man whose mind is of just that kind. He adds that some copies read it the other way round, 'vidhura-vidhuta'.
The variant is a pāṭha (a difference in the received text), so Jīva records both without deciding between them.

And Jīva quotes the Amara-kośa: 'vidhura, moreover, means praviśleṣa — utter separation.' So beyond 'distressed', the word vidhura carries the very sense of the mood at hand: being cut off.
Why cited: cited from the Amara-kośa to license a second, lexicon-attested sense of vidhura — 'separation' itself — which fits the viyoga theme of the verse.

Viśvanātha runs the whole verse together. To cut off the mass of arms of Bāṇāsura, the son of Bali, Śrī Kṛṣṇa went to the blood-city, Śoṇitapura. Once he had gone, this Uddhava's mind became vidhutā — shaken — and therefore vidhurā — distressed. Being of such a mind, he became niruddhava, which Viśvanātha glosses as nirutsāha: drained of all enthusiasm.
